RoyBatterian
Wow, this was really simple to do then, I looked at it in FNVEdit. My only problem is now ED-E doesn't play his attacking music, think it's possible to fix that? Also by changing the scripts for his logs and what not to check for Lonesome Road completion, they could be also be available after you return. It's probably possible to make his greetings noises play too.
devinpatterson
My only problem is now ED-E doesn't play his attacking music, think it's possible to fix that? I didn't change his attack music. So what I'm assuming happened is that you have a mod for ED-E that gives him some special attack tuneage. Unfortunately the way mods work even a single edit to ED-E's dialog by me wipes out any other mods edits to ED-Es dialog (and vice versa, depending on what mod loads last). But it's possible to make a compatibility patch if you tell me what mod your using for his tunes. Also by changing the scripts for his logs and what not to check for Lonesome Road completion, they could be also be available after you return. Yep, but it's a pain to copy all that dialog that doesn't really have a great deal of use after LR. It's probably possible to make his greetings noises play too. Yes any and all that LR ED-E makes, can be redone for FONV ED-E. This was just a test to see if oggs can be compressed correctly in a BSA (every other utility has failed in this regard) and that I have the basic setup right. So, you heard the sneaky beeping OK then?
devinpatterson
Wow, this was really simple to do then, I only did a single topic, which is why you only see a single edit. The dialogue quests can be extremely complicated (and really crashy in the geck).
RoyBatterian
I use the ride of the valked-e mod here http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/55251/? , it just replaces the sound, no esp. No, I didn't hear sneaky beeping, but I see the text pop-up. I hear all his other sounds though from LR in the follower dialogs except the greeting one (I think). As for GECK crashing, ChuckSteel posted a tip that worked... set compatibility mode for the GECK to Vista SP2, it stopped crashing and acting weird for me after doing so. devinpatterson
Well cr*p, that's a malfunction. Thought it was simple enough I wouldn't have to test it, but I guess I better work out my companion problems and clean up my fubar'd NV installation so I can do some testing on my side. TheTruthBetween
Yeah, I didn't hear the sneaky beeping, either. Got the text, but that's it. :(

devinpatterson
sorry to revive this but any updates on this mod idea? This is almost three years ago, so my memory is a little fuzzy, but I think (IIRC) that the reason I didn't go any further with it is that another mod came out in this forum that essentially did the same thing (LR assets). I'm sorry though I don't recall the name, however a keyword search should find it.
