Timb91
I downloaded the program called "archiveinvalidation invalidated!", and it gives me the choice to disable or active something. Any simplistic summary? Because all the descriptions I've read made no sense.
Callighan
Basically in adds an entry into your game .ini which enables you to use any body texture replaces (mostly nudie mods) without the hassle having to make an ArchiveInvalidation.txt file in order for you to use them. So all I do is add the Invalidated program into the Fallout3 install file, activate it, when paste in any of the mods that I want? The program does all the complicated things for me? And if so, do I have to deactivate it when I'm done, or do I leave it activated the whole time?

The program does all the complicated things for me? Amazingly, yes. And if so, do I have to deactivate it when I'm done, or do I leave it activated the whole time? Just like a homing missile, you "fire and forget". Also known as activate it and never touch it again. Unless of course, you'd want to see Bethesda's dreadful undies again. FYI, ArchiveInvalidationInvalidated is not just for undies and nudies, but for a lot of pther things too, such as the Vault 101 suit replacer and such. I love your use of metaphors. Just ONE more question: After reading an installation tutorial, it says... Open up FALLOUT.ini in My Documents\My Games\Fallout 3, find the SArchiveList= line, and add ArchiveInvalidationInvalidated!.bsa before everything else, so it looks something like this: SArchiveList=ArchiveInvalidationInvalidated!.bsa, Fallout - Textures.bsa, Fallout - Meshes.bsa, Fallout - Voices.bsa, Fallout - Sound.bsa, Fallout - MenuVoices.bsa, Fallout - Misc.bsa" So it's telling me to add ArchiveInvalidationInvalidated!.bsa, Fallout - Textures.bsa, Fallout - Meshes.bsa, Fallout - Voices.bsa, Fallout - Sound.bsa, Fallout - MenuVoices.bsa, Fallout - Misc.bsa" To only the lists with a single S and not the SS lists? Or do I just add ArchiveInvalidationInvalidated!.bsa?
katsu4649
If you activate it, and it worked correctly (You aren't running Vista with Fallout installed in Program files, that could complicate things) then all the files will be already configured. Press activate, and it will be done. You don't even need to put the file in your fallout folder, it can detect it based off of your registry. Cipscis
It's probably also worth mentioning that FOMM includes AII, so if you use FOMM then all you need to do is hit the "Toggle invalidation" button. Cipscis
