When I move the analogs even the slightest bit, they move in "Game Controllers" in Windows, but Skyrim won't detect/react any movement below %15 movement

I can't find any deadzone option in ini files

putting these under [Controls] didn't help either

fRThumbDeadzone=0.0000
fLThumbDeadzone=0.0000
fDirectionalDeadzone=0.0000

Salutations...

I had to recently repair my Xbox 360 controller and the deadzone of the new sticks was a lot larger. I'm glad someone else brought this up as no two controllers are ever alike and it would have been nice if Bethesda had included these settings as sliders in game ..

I find that the above settings set to 1 are too high, and then found some additional settings.. My looks sensitivity is already so high on the controller so the in-game slider with the new sticks had to be set all the way low.

Add the following tot he SkyrimCustom.ini ( I prefer to use the CustomINI because Bethesda might rearrange things again in an update... This way I don't lose my settings )

[Controls]

fRThumbDeadzone=0.25
fRThumbDeadzoneMax=0.97
fLThumbDeadzone=0.25
fLThumbDeadzoneMax=0.97
fDirectionalDeadzone=0.97

The file is located at " Documents\My Games\Skyrim Special Edition " If you do not have one then use notepad or any other txt editor to make one.

I find it easier to keep the ini file open with the game running to do edits rather than to edit each line in-game by having to type each name of each entry, along with each setting.

You may also choose this route if you like.. If you do an in-game console edit be sure to use the command " saveini " without quotes after you finish all edits and then " refreshini " without quotes to load new settings. If you edit manually via the actual open ini file then all you need do is save it, Alt+Tab back to the game, and then do a " refreshini " command in the console to see the changes...

This virtually restored the controller entirely to its previous functionality... If the values are not quite right play with them a bit in the custom INI file... It is always best to err on the side of caution with any settings either in game or in Windows by using small adjustments.
If you have your game running while doing this then open the console with the Tilde " ~ " key and type in " refresh ini " without quotes and hit Enter to see the results...
Personally speaking??? The above settings are satisfactory for now.. I might tinker a bit more... not sure..
Namaste...
Au.
