It will just say that is stopped working as soon as i tried to run it. I was messing with some mods before, so I tried FNVEdit. It gave me this: "Fatal: Could not open registry key: \SOFTWARE\Bethesda Softworks\FalloutNV\"

No ideo what to do know, I've verified the game cache several times but nothing works

Do you have a saved game file?

kitty

I started to run FNV4GB as an administrator and it said the memory it was referencing couldnt be read.

that could mean just about anything from a bad nif file, texture file , a corrupted file, or even hardrive corruption.

Voice files with extensions of *.ogg get corrupted on my machine all the time, I get that error message. when I see the message, I have a backup hard drive I keep on a USB 3.0 slot, How I determine what file is bad is attempt to to Move al the games data from main drive to that one.......during the process, the operating system will choke / just plain refuse to move a bad file, the one causing all the problems. It like s to mess up raider voice files from the Pitt's packages. None the less, I always find the bad files and replace them and move the data back to it's origins. by directions give me coverage in sleuthing out the bad stuff.

you can't always be 100% clean unless you burn it to a Blue ray in that condition. Many gifted authors made fantastic works I do not want to lose or damage for this old game.

Advice...back up, seek and destroy all bugs on a normal playing field. technically speaking, we have our methods to remove the bad stuff, it is very time consuming, and I am not infallible. I am human and do make mistakes too. we learn by those mistakes. The operating system is a workstation, meant for business applications. not gaming. So , with that in mind, keep the lights on upstairs so not to trip going down. PS3 and XNA data was designed for a specific piece of hard ware, ported/converted too PC's.

can't discuss much of this here, but the data on your games is most likely corrupted or missing data. Steam will also cancel out 4g too. be aware of that.

kitty.
