GWChapman
Earlier this week I started trying to learn blender, however I quickly discovered I am in way over my head.I'll need to read more tutorials. Anyway what I was trying to do was to cut off the sleeves of three robes and close the resulting hole, I figure anyone who knows blender knows how to do this. The reason being that I intend to add various armor arms to them for use by battlemages, etc. If someone would be willing to do this while I learn some more about blender I would be very grateful. Here are the robe meshes I was working on. Thanks for the help.
PacificMorrowind
yep that is relatively easy (or very easy or dramatically hard depending on skill level). the only thing you should be aware of is that depending on the arms you are attaching (presuming you are using nifskope for that?) the arms of the robe might want to be cut off with a bit of bridging material left depending on teh shape of cuirass the arms were attached to. Downloaded and doing the cutting/closing of gap (or anything not yet done since it is still downloading, haven't looked at the files)Should be able to post them tonight.Pacific Morrowind
GWChapman
Yeah, I am way over my head, right now at least. I just thought that blunt cutting the sleeves and then closing the gap would be ok. Eventually I plan to add every vanilla armor sleeve to each of the robe models. The robe models are for Robert Male V3 Muscular, and EVE HGEC C-Cup. When I do some meshing tonight I'll look with that knowledge into the connections and see how best to cut them.Pacific Morrowind
PacificMorrowind
sorry for the delay... not done them tonight either but here is the emp robe with glass sleeves, looking at it I decided it looked better to extend the glass sleeves into the robe rather than the robe out to the sleeves. still have to do a couple uv map changes to the whole close (which was the only change I did to the robe) but thought I'd post this wip anyways for you to look at (not yet tested in game so may have funkyness unknown to me yet.Pacific Morrowind
GWChapman
Don't worry about the delay, real life is more important. Anyway I just tested the mesh and have not noticed any problems. Thanks for the help.
