And well long story short I managed to remove the default (zombie torso) model NIF so now it has no model and just shows some up as a big Dimond with a ! in the middle and tbh I dont know how to get it back. :wallbash: So if anyone dousent minds clueing this noob in on how to reset a object to its default model please don't hesitate. Hopefully waiting a responce- Thpthpthp :thanks:
Maigrets
Been there, done that... :whistling: The long way to do it would be to reinstall Oblivion, but that's a bit drastic. If you use OBMM or another BSA Browser, double click on the Oblivion meshes BSA and find the mesh you need. Select to extract it to a folder, then using the same paths as in the BSA, place the mesh in your data folder. It might take awhile to find it, but you can browse by type etc or if you have room unpack the entire meshes BSA, but not into your Data directory unless you plan to move the BSA. Then in the CS you select the new path to the mesh. It should pick up the correct textures as long as it's in the same path as the original. bben46
You did back up your game and all of the /data folder before starting to play with the CS didn't you? The CS is not like a game, there may not be a do over if you do something wrong and then save. :wallbash: Now that it is already borked, a backup will not help. :whistling: However, the NEXT time you do have a working game - back up the data folder by making a copy in a different folder. Name it something like DataBackup. Also back up your Oblivion.ini not the one in the Oblivion folder, but the one in the folder where the save games are located. A backup can save you the hassle of a reinstall. Here is the link to my article on Backing up Oblivion: http://www.tesnexus.com/articles/article.php?id=260 Here is a link to my complete uninstall/reinstall procedure located in the articles section of the Nexushttp://www.tesnexus.com/articles/article.php?id=
