pigeon08
Hi, this is a relatively new thing and I have no idea why it is happening, when i go to certain areas the game slows down so much it almost freezes but it doesn't quite come to a complete stand still, game-play becomes impossiblethis happens most notably when I fast Travel to tenpenny Tower, it just becomes extrordinarily jumpy and when I travel to the area where the Capitol Building/Museums/Memorial is, gameplay just halts, takes about five minutes to bring up the pip boy and fast travel away. I don't have any mods that affect those two areas specificly but I still hgave no idea what is happeningIf anyone sorts this then you will be praised for all eternitySort of :PMy load order is:Fallout3.esmAnchorage.esmThePitt.esmBrokenSteel.esmPointLookout.esmMart's Mutant Mod.esmCALIBR.esmEnclaveCommander-OA-Pitt-Steel.esmRRCompanionVault.esmNazi Wasteland Invasion.espBunker72 Revised.espRR_Refurbished.espTailor Maid.espTailor Maid Anchorage.espTailor Maid PITT.espTailor Maid Brokensteel.espJHB House Robots Can Repair.espHouse Map Markers.espLightSaberMod.espTenpenny Armory.espGaussCompleteBeta.espImproved Gauss Rifle.espImproved Tesla Cannon.espBuilt For The Future.espsupermutantmask.espAweomePerkPack.espCALIBRxMerchant.espMannequin.espNAPA-Sneak.espClassic Fallout Weapons BETA.espPortable Camp.espEnclaveCommander SMv.espNight Vision Sunglasses.esp3EFdrgplate.espButcher Petes Meat.espAdvanced Combat Armor.espDK_BulletTime.espFellout-Full.espFellout-Anchorage.espFellout-BrokenSteel.espMart's Mutant Mod.espMart's Mutant Mod - Increased Spawns.espMart's Mutant Mod - DLC Anchorage.espMart's Mutant Mod - DLC The Pitt.espMart's Mutant Mod - DLC Broken Steel.espMart's Mutant Mod - DLC Point Lookout.esp Total active plugins: 46Total plugins:
mechine
Naw man that never happends. Just kidding... You think that's bad, you should look into mouse lag. It's a pretty simple situation, I'll make it all messed up an over complex though. Just give me a minute... Load order looks okay, so you've got that going for ya. I just read it real fast though It's system tax. Because the fallout world is freaking hugeand doesn't really work like other games like view distance an LOD, sector LOD's probably other stuff to System tax as in the game engine is running behind, being taxed and having trouble keeping up, or well keeping up in real time or like FPS Two simple fixes is to pause an quit moving or running around when it happensAnd there is bullet time as well, which you have, You can bullet time in times of mass chaos which would otherwise yeild very low FPS or crashes An example of this is there is one room underground where like 10 raiders fight 20-30 feralsWith MMM increased spawns anyway, So I can't even enter the room without a crash because there is so much going on in terms of npc's being rendered, bullets flying, and havok applying it's physics to all. I found though that I could activate bullet time then enter the room an it wouldn't crash, as well as avoid the 3 frames per second I would have other wise got without bullet time. Things that tax, would be textures, like if you downloaded higher resolution textures an stuff like thatwhich is where the pixel count or poly count comes in handy. A example of this is that one guy had a 3 FPS problem in Rivet city because the barrel with a fire in it, (which has a high poly count) There are different versions of the barrel though with lower poly counts, he fixed it by just deleting the barrel all together. idk Something else that will cause tax is the MMM adding spawns or the MMM gone wild which turned into MMM natural selection, I think anyway, pretty much makes all NPC's fight other NPC's instead of just the playerI'm not saying MMM is bad or even that MMM is the real underlying cause of your problemIt's part of it, along with everything else in the wastes. At the time which the FPS drop occursthere is just simply too many things going on, to many things being drawn or rendered. But I mean we're not about to get rid of it, because it would get rid of the kind of chaos we really like. At least you're not crashing at every turn... fear not, there are some things you can do to help your situationand avoid having to wait on the system too much, but yes you'll still have to stop every so often an let the system catch upEven then if there is just too much going on it's going to drop FPS You can search in the performance topics here, in the pinned topics to find tweeks There is also a guide which is sort of outdated but still goodit goes over the settings in the fallout.ini notepad options fileand the fallout.exe launcher options, as well as in game options http://www.tweakguides.com/Fallout3_8.html Then there is also many other settings in your grapics card softwarethen updated grapics drivers, as well as many system performance stuff Have I messed this all up yet an made it way too complex yetI tried... Anyway pretty much you turn down a lot of things that you wouldn't notice anyway Good clean installs, good patch set up, good system set up makes a big difference, and we haven't really even got into tweeks You still run into the problem but it's not as often an not as bad I don't think it's caused from having a bunch of mods, You could try playing it vanilla for a while an see then slowly build mods into it until it starts lagging again
pigeon08
thanks for the reply, must have took a while to write it :PWell, bad news, I found out that it was MMM that was causing it after all but I have no idea, my brother has the same computer with similar mods (MMM included) yet his works, I just don't know what to do-EDIT- After some boring work I found out that either the Coyote suit or Bullet Time was causing it to happen, don't know why though, thanks very much mechine for helping though, kudos to you
