XxPkRaperxX Posted July 18, 2009 Posted July 18, 2009 Well I was looking into 3D model making programs and I have no idea whats the best so I need your opinion. One of the programs I thought was interesting was TrueSpace. Let me know what you guys think is the best. P.S I'd like to know the ones that are free and paid.

Tony the Wookie Posted July 18, 2009 Posted July 18, 2009 really, you just want to start with 3Ds Max or Blender (free equivelent of Max) from there you can increase your pallet by adding ZBrush and other stuff like that, but you will want to start with Max and you will deffinatly want Photoshop or some good 2d image program for when you unwrap stuff to texture it

Nexus Set Posted July 18, 2009 Posted July 18, 2009 My 2 cents: Go with Blender as it is free but if you can afford 3dsmax, go get that.3dsmax has a free version called gmax as well. These three applications would be the best suited for modelling, specially for Fallout3 and Oblivion modding as they all are supported with .NIF import/export plugins from www.niftools.org.
