BerithRed
Whenever i minimize my fallout3 game using alt tab or ctrl+alt+delete to switch to a different thing running my fallout3 game either crashes or wont let me open it again. this is getting frustrating and i'd like to know how to fix this. I use Vista Home Premium and i run fo3 through fomm launch Fose Button. :wallbash: And I have a nividia geforce 9600 gs graphics card. Using Asus Laptop also. I dont have any dlc's. BerithRed
This is a thread for my fo3 problems not downloading mods problems. and to answer your question its not that hard. just download a mod place the .esp or .esm file in your data folder in your fallout3 folder and then run fallout3 launcher or fomm and check the file (do not uncheck fallout.esm). youll need a program like winzip or pkzip to extract the files

nk911ea
@ Inebreatedhobo - Ive found this problem can be solved by simply pausing the game (Esc) prior to the alt tab. Upon opening it back up, you might have a small delay, but so long as your desktop mouse disappears after clicking the FO3 tab, it means its loading. I always save prior to an alt tab though, (which is often) to prevent any exceptions to this rule (which so far haven't been any). Hope that helps. nk911ea
Are you clicking the tab or alt tabbing back to it? Doubt it'll matter but I always alt tab back. My rig is much much older than yours so its gotta be something other than a pc issue.

nk911ea
okay well only other thing i can think of would be to try the console key combined with the pause. This is a really dumb issue but after doing research on it when it was causing me problems i found nothing. Hopefully theres an official fix somewhere that we're not seeing. It hasnt cause me issues since doing the above but then again maybe ive been lucky. :pinch:
