Just found the introduction thread, duh, after lurking for some time.

 

I'm a writer from the UK, ex Poser artist - I still do it but only for my own consumption occasionally.

 

Learning to mod Oblivion just now. I've put things in places where they weren't before, created characters that didn't exist before, put them in places they didn't used to be and have just started making a house for them to live in.

 

At which point my IC Arboretum has disappeared... not sure if this is due to something I've done or somebody else's mod I've installed, so about to deactivate a lot of stuff and see what happens.

 

I guess a lot of people that discover mods install too many of them. I've been a console player for a number of years so I got a bit over-excited at the idea of adding to the game on the PC. Must be more careful in future.

Yes, sometimes people do get a bit excited at the prospects of modding, and it blows up in their face. I was one of those people, and I messed it up so badly I had no choice but to reinstall the game. :P

 

Using mods and making mods can be a lot of fun though, once you know how to do it all. Good luck with your modding experience :thumbsup:
