an early critique if i may, it would be cool if the areas with scratches and paint chips were metal color (desaturated) rather than colored, will add an extra sense of depth to the textures.

looking really nice!

thx

ya well i just used a bright red as a base texture for everything so i can easily swap colors in photoshop later,

just mark the part you wanna recolor and image->hue/saturation slide left and right till everything is allright :P

the main one will prolly be black in the end anyway ;)

but generally a good tip nevertheless

Very impressive! You definitely had to work around the limits of the Fallout 3 engine when it came to sizing for the body, I bet.

I only dislike the shoulders, but that's because the new SC armor is terrible with that to begin with.

And you should make the gun, too. If only because no other weapon looks good when being held by a massive man-tank. Seriously, everything will look puny next to it!

Maybe we're not being yesman but actually liking it a lot?

The issues the armor has are about sizing, like with the helmet area and shoulders. But you can't force the Fallout 3 human skeleton inside armor that is too big without there being problems. Some mods have tried to mess with setscale and armor, but this also changes the size of the weapons or anything else on the body. The limitations of the engine hamper the production of abnormally large armor like the SC2 stuff. Is it impossible? No (I think). It is just stupidly difficult.

That being said... how about SC1 armor? It is better looking, more industrial/less clean, and smaller.
