Starbound Modding noob, Need help with weapon positioning.

((STARBOUND)) Hey, I am working on my first/second mod ever in Starbound and have run into a snag. I have made the energy sword from halo but I cannot get the swords positioning to change and therefore correct it. as is they float behind your character like wings but snap onto the hands when you swing. I altered an existing shortsword file to suit my needs as I am a noob. Also, how do you change the size of the blade? Thanks for any help, much appreciated! (will add photos in a min.)
