Retribution
My qualm is not that this incident happened, but rather that this was one of hundreds of incidents that pass as footnotes on local and international news paper monthly,Look, it has recently become common to suggest that Muslims in Europe are coming increasingly under threat from a revival of nationalist sentiment. Some have even gone as far as to draw a comparison between Jews in Nazi Germany and Muslims in Europe today. I believe that this is false and that the reality is quite the opposite. There is no other demographic in Europe today that has had its ‘grievances’ addressed more than Muslims. Various institutions, legislation and committees exist to placate the concerns of this community. What is more chilling is the resurgence of anti-Semitism across Western Europe. In Britain there are six to seven times as many Muslims as there are Jews, yet if attacks on Jews were to be scaled up proportionately to reflect the Muslim population, then the number of attacks would be well over 3,600. A parliamentary report in 2006 found that a significant number of these attacks had an Islamist motivation. Rather than treating this resurgence of anti-Semitism with the seriousness it deserves the media has wholly ignored it. This is partly due to the fear of being labelled ‘Islamophobes,’ a dishonest word that is slowly infiltrating our vocabulary. The media have chosen to appease the feelings of the Muslim community by ignoring stories that might ‘offend’ them. This is all at the expense of the Jewish community in France and Britain whose continuous kristallnacht is being ignored simply because journalists are worried that they might harm the feelings of Muslims. What I find most sinister regarding the death of Marwa El-Sherbini – apart from the death itself- is the aggressive and rather warlike response from elements within the Muslim world. There have been threats issued from many leaders including dangerous demagogues like Ahmadinejad - as I mentioned in my previous post – calling for a boycott of Germany, and some have even called for violent reprisals against Germany. This reaction is not new, recall for example the Danish cartoon controversy, and the disgusting response to it. Denmark, a small democratic and pluralistic society with a free press was subjected to a global campaign of hatred, violence and lies. A pogrom was launched against this small country, 200 people were pointlessly killed, and its diplomatic immunity was violated by mullahs who invited the intervention of two dozen ambassadors to condemn Denmark for the triviality of publishing a cartoon that lampoon’s a religion. The murderer did what it did, but I would ask you to tread very carefully here in regards to wars in India, Pakistan, Israel, Iraq, Afghanistan, Chechnya, there is much that can be said about who did what there and this forum is not place to mention such acts.I think you may have slightly misinterpreted me. The murderer was quite simply, a bigot. I brought up Indonesia and India in an attempt to further condemn him. My point was that the murderer’s action was not a response to terrorism, rather he was driven by his own hostility to foreigners. He called the victim a terrorist because of his vile bigotry. I was responding to what I saw as a misleading point in Foxxieboy’s post in which he attempted to rationalize the murderer’s irrationality. In my forceful approach I attempted to show that this was incorrect by taking his rationalization to its logical conclusion.Quoted for truth. Echo Icehand
There are at least three active ethnic cleansing zone in the world right now, and the target for all three are Muslims, and that tends to create over sentimentality. Ofcourse none of these zones are in Europe itself. I don't think it 'Pro-Nationalist Extremism' that is the source of these conflicts but rather the 'Religious Fascist' and blind, ignorant and desperate followers on all side that are fueling these wars. I have personally had unpleasant encounters with such things myself, and I did take the time to study the specimen for as long as I could with exposing myself to mortal harm. Ahmedinijad is a politician, a remarkable man, who has the persona and character to withstand threats of war and isolation from the UN, NATO and the US. He is still a politician, there is no way he is directing economical trade away from Iran. His statements are only for political gain, not for global effect. Foxxieboy
Man, when the people with the mental handicap to actually make use of them get the nukes, we'd better call up Vault-Tec right away no matter whether it's the reds, the Islamics, the Koreans, or even our own government. Tensions are rising quickly because of bigots like this guy, and if people keep this up we may as well put our heads betwixt our legs and kiss our sorry asses goodbye. I wish there was some form of universal governmental intervention program for early and continued education of youths, and forceful re-education of people such as the perpetrator of this murder. Should no progress be made in an alloted schedule, take him out back and put poor ol' yeller down. Or maybe a more extravagant public execution would create more deterrents for such idiocy? No one in this world is innocent of every crime the world has ever seen. Whether they inadvertantly or purposefully aid and assist a criminal, be it a politician, misguided soldier, extremist group, or otherwise, we have ALL done something big or small to drive this world we live in towards disaster. One way I know all of us who live in America do such things, is we buy our Nike's and Adidas, and our action figures and brand-name clothes, almost all of which are either made with Slave Labor/Sweatshop Work in foreign countries or on our own soil. We allow corrupt governments in Africa to starve their people while we send them more aid, which most will never see the people who need it, and we pay no mind to it why? Because "It's not effecting us". But here's the thing, this murder and every atrocity against others of our human kin, be they worlds away or right next door will send ripples throughout our world that can and will cause irrepererable harm to us and all we love down the road. I don't think any system of government can make the right compromises to deal with the issues in play here. Socialism in its purest form is arguably the best form of government. But the world has always tried to stamp out socialism in the past and to this day. America's two-house legislation based on democracy would be fine, if it did half the things the Founding Fathers wished for it to do. Yet nothing can completely stop blind bigotry short of mandatory polygraphs held on a bi-monthly basis, or at random, and that's a violation of one of the rights we as Americans pride ourselves on, and the one freedom that allows this blind bigotry to persist and multiply with each passing generation. One example was a man I knew in high school. Always spouting off about being of Nazi "Heritage". I didn't mind him so much until he insulted one of my African American friends and another of my Jewish friends. I had nothing to do with it, but apparently he wound up unconscious in a garbage-bin in his front yard the next morning. Luckily he was so prideful that he never admitted he was attacked, choosing to never admit he was bested by two people of so-called "Inferior Race" to his own. Funny as hell how he stuttered while Friend A smacked him around according to Friend B. When people who harbor hateful bigotry in their minds and beliefs have children, there's a hefty chance the kids will harbor the same bigotry. And yet no one ever checks on the children's upbringing unless they're drawing pictures in art class about impaling their black classmate on a spike. I don't think anyone has a right to have kids if they're going to butcher the children's perception of "Good Guy and Bad Guy" with such garbage. Sorry for the wall-o-text. And if anyone says TL;DR, I will probably s*** bricks.
Echo Icehand
For 1 the only Muslim country in the world that has nuclear weapons is Pakistan, Iran is trying to build a hard water nuclear power plant because it has an oil/gas contract with Pakistan that is under threat, due to Pakistan's current leadership. The reason Pakistan made nuclear warhead 19 years after it had enough plutonium to was the fact the India, a neighbouring country that has attacked Pakistan and is even now redirecting (stealing) 45-60% of the country's fresh water, detonated 3 and fail detonated 4 nuclear weapons 20 kilometers from it south-eastern border, unmonitored desert area., with small villages. Ever heard of M.A.D. Mutually Assured Destruction Ahmedinijad has been screaming his lungs raw to get votes and support, not to commit genocide, ethnic cleansing, massive theft and smuggling of foreign national resources. BUSH, RICE, %&$!, BUSH, ADOLF, SHARON Do these mass murders ring any bells. P.S.: There are no such words as 'Islamics', 'Islamist', 'Jihadist', 'Jihadiis'. lets make that one clear these are word coined by media and incompetent politicians who don't know the difference between their faces and their asses, these words are not part of the English language, rather only slang.
