Cold101
I have just started to make a house early last night, and I am at the point where I am linking the two doors for the house; they both persistence reference and teleport checked; they are both the same door; they fit the bruma house interior/exterior; but when I click Select Reference in Render Window, I click my interior door and it says 'CO2' Door Bad. Im taking a tutorial from this website. http://cs.elderscrolls.com/constwiki/index...reating_a_House Anyone know whats wrong?
Khet
Here's a work around and the method I personally always use to link my doors for Interior/Exterior. Pull up the Reference window for your EXTERIOR door and go to the teleport tab like normal. However, instead of using Select Reference in Render Window , click on the drop down menu for Cell. (Here's the cool part) say that the interior you're trying to link is EIPalandisHouse (an interior EditorID I used for my own mod), well all you gotta do is start typing out the first part of it and it'll find it in the list. Once you got the cell, select the door and then close the window by clicking okay.
David Brasher
I like to give my doors unique reference editor names like perhaps BrumaHouseEntranceInside. Then when I am outside to link the door, I can just pull up the cell name of the inside of the house, and find the door with the unique and descriptive name. Be sure to adjust the green and pink rectangles so people will exit the doors facing in the right direction. The software seems to point them wrong as a matter of principle. Well, when I open my cell, there is nothing that I can open in Reference, it is just grayed out.I do have a door in there to.
David Brasher
I just caught a small detail. Only one door needs to be teleport checked. Try unchecking one of them. The "Select Reference in Render Window" button is not working for you, so don't use it. Do it the other way. (1) Double-click on the outside of your door.(2) Click Teleport.(3) Scroll through the Cell menu to find your interior cell. (4) Scroll through Reference to look at all of the doors in your cell. Select the right one. If you don't know the right one, select any one.(5) Hit OK.(6) See where the green rectangle takes you. See if the other green rectangle brings you back.(7) Aim the green rectangles properly to face away from the doors, and into the space the PC is entering. If you still can't get your door to work, send me a personal message.
