Skyrim crashes after I install SkyRe.

In the optional files of Skyre, there's an older version that says it's the last version before Dawnguard, I assume that one doesn't require any DLC's for it work, version 0.99.16. I don't use any kind of Skyre, so I wouldn't know for sure, but from the description it sounds like that.

To have it updated a bit.

could I do this with nmm as well or should I just back up my data and then do it manually and go from there

It's better if it's done manually, cause from what I see at one step, you have to manually delete a file, than rename a different one. Shouldn't need any backup though, since those updates will only overwrite old content from Skyre, not vanilla game.

I have tried for 3 days to get it to work an it seems the only thing that delays a in game crash is by uninstalling terrain mods which i have done but still it only prolongs the CTD but states either a freeze in game causing me to sign out or shut down or brings up a message stating skyrim has stopped working an forces a signout and restart
