[i'm not quite sure about the status of the people who had joined my topic, I'd estimate most of them are still up for it, if not...well, this will most likely be put on hiatus until activity rises. Not quite sure. Anyway, have fun, and all that.]

The usual sickly green lights overhead -meant to simulate the Sun on the surface- were flickering feebly. The Sun. It was funny, nobody in the Vault had ever seen it, yet most of them yearned for it so. The generator had failed some a bit ago, and now everyone was stuck without most of their usual hedonistic pleasures of life. The Overseer sighed. These insufferable ingrates were ungrateful to everything he was doing. He rubbed his bloodshot eyes, a youngster was walking by his office window, staring straight at him, with a sneer on his face. The boy's father was one of the missing engineers, his beady little brown eyes staring at the Overseer with the utmost contempt.

The Overseer looked back down at his desk, there was quite a bit of unfinished paperwork. He ran his hand over his face, sighing at the thought of any more of this dreary work. He decided a nice walk through the Vault would calm his mind somewhat. Stepping out of his office, he walked through the dark, poorly lit halls, the generator's failure earning him a few bitter looks and a headache-inducing flickering of the lights. The halls were dirty, unkempt. Rust was working it's wonders throughout the Vault, the local Mister Handy robot was malfunctioning, the confounded thing having broken through the Overseer's own office and dirtying up the place. The contraption had to be shut down for repairs a week ago, the effects already showing through the sordid halls and rooms of the dank hole.

Strange, being in the Vault. Although he suffered from claustrophobia, the Overseer felt quite safe and comfortable in the cramped, confined spaces of this dirty little place. The actual entrance to the Vault was via a manhole deep under the water. The entrance has long since been flooded. The Vault expanded through the underground, going more downwards then most Vaults. To get to the Vault's entrance, you had to climb a ladder approximately a mile long, until reaching the actual room itself, then you had to pass through the airlocks, swim up to the thin manhole, and freedom! ...More or less. After that, you had to swim through quite a bit of water to get to the surface. Really, who would want to go through all that trouble just to get your flesh burned off from the radiation?

Im sorry is there going to be any explenation on how this works?

The explanations here: http://thenexusforums.com/index.php?showto...129237&st=0

Leonardo stood in a hall way thinking, he was slightly disturbed by the disappearing people and the lack of power, but he had more present issues on hand.

Leonardo hadn't eaten in a while, he didn't know how long it had been since eating as there was no way to tell time. He needed something to eat, or something to sell for food. So he set off towards the uninhabited regions of the vault.

Geremy was at ease with all of the comotion , years of keeping to yourself and prepairing gives you the sence of comfort when somthing such as this happens.

"I geuss its time to get to work.. *sigh* I geuss in this situation people need someone to turn to for repairs." Geremy then gets up from the bed to see the slightly unkept room that he resides in , He then makes his way over to the dresser and puts on his vault 83 utility jumpsuit , then he makes his way over to the sink to quench his unbareable thirst, Nothing comes out but air.

"Damnit , I geuss fixing the sink is now on my list of things to do." Skiping brekfast today to conserve food Geremy makes his way down to the repair shop to at least look like he is working.

As Geremy opens up the cluttered utility/Repair shop He stares at a number of his unsecsessfull and unfinished invintions Such as his portable water purifier , But one day he just stopped working on his project Because "who would need a water purifier down here?" As he clicks on the flickering open sign he walks in and spots a broken Mr. Handy unit with a note "hmm... , the overseers Mr. Handy is ont he fritz , Damn I got work today." About Five to ten minutes into working on the Broken Mr. Handy A scruffle in the back of the shop catches his ear And without a thought Geremy grabs the nearby Prybar and turns around , Slowly making his way to the back of the shop.
