Proxxor
So my issue is that certain areas cause CTDs. I have only noticed this one location, being just southeast of Irradiated Metro. I'm also unsure of what other information or data could help determine the issue. Edited February 9, 2014 by Proxxor
Purr4me
So my issue is that certain areas cause CTDs. I have only noticed this one location, being just southeast of Irradiated Metro. I'm also unsure of what other information or data could help determine the issue. loading up a screen shot of that area for you. take a few minutes. http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/1024x768q90/607/vdke.jpg can't figure out whats up with image share, it loads but nothing else will load. I have alternates too I'll try one of those, in the mean time, you can grab this as to blow it up and see if there is anything in the area you spoke of. EDIT 2: post what you have in your inventory OR find something to store all your stuff in before getting near that spot and retry. Proxxor
See the courtyard with the tree at the bottom there? Typically as soon as I go within one tile near the tree it will cause a CTD. I feel I should emphasize that the CTD is not immediate, but that it occurs from saving, fast traveling, and if I try to leave the area. EDIT: It doesn't matter which angle or direction I approach it from, it still will CTD. EDIT x 2: So thanks for the help, but I need to turn in now. I hope we can continue this tomorrow! Proxxor
Ok, so I did as you asked and removed all items I could from my inventory. When I went to that location, it still caused a CTD. So I will list everything in my inventory at the time. Apparel I couldn't remove: Companion Command - http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout3/mods/632/? ( I think)Follower XP Config - http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout3/mods/19667/?Institute Radiation Suit - Quest Item for http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout3/mods/14449/?S/W Companion Radio - http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout3/mods/16487/? Purr4me
SCC SettingsWasteland Traveller's SetupSlave Collar - Vanilla (Maybe?) find them and uncheck them and see. they will be removed and if not? then you found the bug. But they should get removed.slave collar is from paradise falls Gambit correct? that would be vanilla, if not, it could be the glitch. if you have run the game with just fallout3.esm and you see these other mods attributes still in your inventory, move all mods out of the data directory into a backup folder inside the games folder but out side of the data folder. do not put them on the desktop. go into the game and see if they get removed? I have done this to a point that a saved game can carry with in it bad code from other gamers, even your own rig. I have posted these events here too. Quest stages retain their achievements and along with that , any quested items. the slave collar can be changed from another mod and the nif file and texture can have the wrong code...depends on the viewpoint of the person who made it. do you by chance have any duplicates that cannot be removed?kitty Edited February 10, 2014 by Purr4me
Proxxor
So I can confirm the collar belongs to that quest you mentioned. Also I unticked both SCC Settings and Wasteland Traveller's Setup but neither were the source of the crash. I then proceeded to untick all associated mods above and I discovered that I don't actually know which mod the Companion Command is from, so I'll need to test that more. All of the others are fine though, and are not the source. Edit: There are no duplicates of items. Edited February 10, 2014 by Proxxor

Next I'll check if it still crashes without any mods loaded, then I'll proceed to determine which mod Companion Command is part of.copy that.(Companion Command) Roboco certified has something like that too, a companion-core.esm Edited February 10, 2014 by Purr4me

I also can confirm that Robco Certified is where the Companion Command is coming from. However that is not the issue either, as I tested it without any Robco mods and it still caused a CTD. Purr4me
zip up your saved game as it is now with a hard save, with nothing....no mods active...hard save it and send it to 2shared.com and post a link here for me to check the data in it without those mods active. I can extract the needed data for that area from that saved game file. I can find whats sitting in that area or is touching something near there.so far, w are here:you have stripped down Butt naked, have nothing in the data folder but the main files, nothing left in inventory. and what ever is caught in that saved game has the data we needed to locate the faults. 2nd test. in this mode, go back in time say 10 saves and load it up, but send what you have now. with the back in time mode saved game , you will be in another location. coc Jefferson memorial to get you near that location and be in sneak mode. TGM so you can scurry around and survive the mutants that will spawn.now see what happens.
