GarbagePickles
and how do I save it as a fallout .nif? I import it into blender as a .nif but there is no option for a fallout specific .nif
t3hf4ll0ut
You might want to start smaller. Say with the Vault tutorial? Sounds a bit too small, but you will need it in the long run. You can install a plug-in for Blender that exports the files as .nif files. Yes, you most definately will need the G.E.C.K. to place them in the Fallout world. Placing them in the world isn't nearly as hard as actually exporting the .nif files and getting them into the G.E.C.K. Infact... it's not hard at all placing them in the world. To make notes and a reasonably fun quest you'd need to add a few fancy scripts into it aswell. I also might add putting them in containers is infact more work then justplacing them on the ground. ;)
maywire
What am I missing...? Putting stuff in containers is way easier than putting them on the ground.
Skree000
to put stuff on the ground, drag it from the object menu into the world space where you want it to be. It will likely appear floating so, click the object so its selected, and mouse-drag it over to where you want. To lower it or raise it, hold z while you mouse drag (moves on the z axis) its kinda silly but yeah ;)
neunen
also if you select the object in the render window and hit the F key (for 'fall' i guess) it will drop the object until it hits something (like the ground or a table) that can be quite useful. sorry if thats already been mentioned

Putting them in containers: Make Container, Add items, make new ID for container, Drag into World, Place. Putting them on the ground: Drag into world, place.
