*PROBLEM TURNS OUT IS A NON-ISSUE.

*meant to say: "on the air" in the title.

I don't know if its due to a recent OS upgrade or a driver upgrade or what but since last week I've not been able to fully enjoy fallout due to this strange phenomenon.

My screen is littered with black shade virtual artifacts from the ingame objects that hover above them and replicate their shape (including, on my character).

I have high texture mods, which I've removed and reinstated and the problem persists. I have a gnr music extender.

I use nvidia contorl panel and have overclocked my card. But these didn't cause problems before. Other games work fine.

Specs: Windows 7 7600;

190.38 driver, 9800m gtx.

I have a screenshot of the problem, if you've encountered it. The problem area can be seen near my player character where there's a shadow of her (3d shadow) above her head.

The only thing i can think of that would cause that is either a corrupt file in which shadows in game have been realigned somehow, or, your graphics card's driver needs to be rolled back. As they say "if it aint broke, dont fix it".

Do shadows still appear where they should be as well i.e. at your feet? if you have shadows enabled and they dont show up there, that could be an answer. Tough for me to tell from that screen.

Hope this helps.

Ive also heard of certain OS causing issues with certain games, especially the newer ones. For example vista, some people couldnt even play the game for 3 months until everything was patched. Seems to me however that your issue would be larger than just a small in game graphical issue. Id lean more towards the driver.

Its amazing how things tend to work themselves out!

I just went in to full screen to get a better picture of the problem and the patches have gone.

The problem persists in windowed mode, however.

That'll do me.

THANKS!
