Sadistic Healer
I have been having technical problems with my fallout 3 game for the last couple days. It began crashing every time I tried to save the game. I assumed one of my new mods was to blame and I disabled them, but the problem continued. I then thought I may have had too many old save built up and that they could be causing the problem. But after I deleted all the saves I no longer needed the crashes continued. Finally I decided to reinstall the game. I backed up my saves, deleted all of my mods, and reinstalled it. Now, however, it won't let me past the main menu without crashing! How could reinstalling make the problem worse? Please I am desperate for any advice you can offer me. Fallout 3 is my favorite game and I am dying to get back to playing it. Thank you in advance for anything you can tell me!
mechine
What a drag huh What happened is your save game went corupt there wasn't a problem with your mods or the order of them there is however a rather obvious problem with your set up right now which is you messed up the load order nothing new that happends all the time repost your load order an lets fix it to avoid save game coruption don't cheat for one dont' autosave or quicksave turn auto save off don't use auto save mods or any mods that mess with saves create new save points each time also don't over write save games keep about 15 or more of them around You should also know crashes like this, from the corupted saves the game can keep going for an hour or more after whatever caused the coruption or even save that coruption into a new save causing any save after this point to cause a crash then the usual stuff that is code an we'll never figure out, the alternate universe included. defrag your hard drive, update your grapics drivers, and say 3 hail marys
