Kavear
Greetings, i recently wanted to try some mods that require FOSE to work properly. The catch is, GFWL is now inaccessible . Clicking LIVE brings up nothing, highlighting LIVE, then going on with its businesses on the main menu as if i never tried anything. the mod (Enclave Commander-Warhammer 40k) works perfectly fine, and will not work if i do not activate FOSE, but then GFWL works perfectly fine. Catch 22 i must say. I have fallout 3 installed in Program Files, i am running Vista (64), and this problem was occurring before i activated Activation invalidated. Thank you in advance for your time
Warll
GFWL does not work with FOSE you would know that if you had read more about what you installed, I in future suggest you do not install random things on your system without knowing what they do. Cipscis
You needn't worry about it though - GFWL really does nothing aside from add achievements, which are completely useless and worthless. That said, I know there is at least one mod out there that will "store" your achievements so that they will be awarded when you next play with GFWL active, if you're "so inclined". If you need to recover your saves, you'll be able to find the saves that you created while logged into GFWL in a sub-folder of your "Saves" folder, which is named after your GFWL profile. To make your saves accessible outside of GFWL, simply move them into your main "Saves" directory. If you're worried about not being able to use your DLC, you can (and should) move them into your Data folder. I'm afraid I can't remember where they are off the top of my head, but I do remember that they are hidden files, and I'm sure that you could find a reference to their location with a quick forum search. Warll
Speaking of the achievements is there any checks in place for them? I noticed that it is just called form a script but is there any checks in place to make sure that it is a "validated" script?
Cipscis
Nope, if you want to make a script to instantly award you all of the achievements then you can just go on right ahead. Having achievements added with each new DLC also ensures that a new patch will have to be released in order to alter the AddAchievement function so that it can be used with the new achievements. Warll
Wow, google is showing that there is a well established gamerscore hacking community. Yet I still know of console gamers who go for the achievements. Anyway sorry I guess I brought this off topic.
