incan Posted August 26, 2005 Posted August 26, 2005 yes if anyo of u havent be informed werewolfs arent in....wich pisses me the hell off my bungie...so tell me ur classification....would u have rather had vampires in oblivion or werewolfs and explain...theres no talk about werewolfs in here so i want everyone to start
Kissimurra Posted August 26, 2005 Posted August 26, 2005 Hm, I thought that there were werewolfs in Oblivion, I think I read an interview with gavin carter and that he mentioned werewolfs. Well, I liked werewolfs but I think that Vampires in Oblivin would be even cooler! In morrowind it was kinda lame to be a vampire, you didnt really feel like a real vampire Instead of drinking blood from your vicims you put some stupid spell on them. I hope and think that vampires will be really cool in Oblivion. The Oblivion engine is much more flexible and the folks on bethesda has had more time to develope the vampirism.
Stampede Posted August 26, 2005 Posted August 26, 2005 Well...Daggerfall had vampires and werewolves AND wereboars. While Morrowind just had vamps...did not stop me from buying what looked like an awesome sequel.
Community Manager Dark0ne Posted August 26, 2005 Community Manager Posted August 26, 2005 I'd rather have vampires in than werewolves. Vampires tend to have more philosophy to them, where as were-wolves are just cursed humans who turn into beasts during a full moon. This doesn't really bother me much.
Switch Posted August 26, 2005 Posted August 26, 2005 I think I prefer vampire to werewolf really. As Dark0ne says at least there's something to them, rather than just mindless massacre machines. :P Wouldn't have hurt to have both but that would have probably added a lot to the development time I guess.
Malchik Posted August 26, 2005 Posted August 26, 2005 You are I assume talking about playable werewolves and vampires. I can't say I saw much gain in being a werewolf. You couldn't carry anything and had to be ridiculously careful about where you changed shape. Vampires had a bit more to them and you could talk to them when you were one which added a new dimension. With luck Oblivion will spring the odd surprise. Maybe there will be a snale of doom! :/ Or maybe you'll be able to play as a cliff-racer! :D
Stampede Posted August 26, 2005 Posted August 26, 2005 Personally I really enjoyed werewolves too...especially when I got that ring in the end of Bloodmoon Anyways, I'm sure there are going to be expansions... EDIT: Oops I said Oblivion instead of Bloodmoon....sorry, I have a one track mind lately.
KzinistZerg Posted August 26, 2005 Posted August 26, 2005 Wellllll.... Morrowind werewolves, in fact, I believe this applies to all TES WWs, but I'm not sure, are the 'sucky type'. I'm a member of other forums, one of which is devoted to werewolves with a sidenote on the movie-in-development, Freeborn. We've thought out almost everything about how werewolves should be, but the computer games don't tend to reflect that sort of thig- maybe bethesda ought to take a look over at The Pack forums? But Werewolves as such are not much of a loss in the released game- SO LONG AS they make a bloodmoon-type expansion. Frankly, I think it would be more fun to have the werewolves pop up at a later, but not too late, date, and then the modding community could really improve them, make werewolves what they should be.
incan Posted August 26, 2005 Author Posted August 26, 2005 ya they might make an expanison but there is no were-beasts in oblivion at all
Kissimurra Posted August 26, 2005 Posted August 26, 2005 I would have liked werewolfes more if they would have had a more, and detailed history/ lore in Morrowind. The really cool thing with vampires was that there were Vampire clans, and a lot of quests to do for them. The Vampire dreams was cozy to. :)
