i_fell
I had the same problem on mine using Windows 7. I just set it to run as administrator and I haven't had the problem since. I hope this helps.
Pronam
I was thinking about doing that! What about oblivion .exe ? Wouldnt that still want to refer to c:/Programfiles/Bethesda/Oblivion ?No it launches the files from there. That's only the case with older games of which its destination couldn't be changed at all. (That was really annoying when your hard drive wasn't C:\) I had the same problem on mine using Windows 7. I just set it to run as administrator and I haven't had the problem since. I hope this helps. The minute I heard you could place it outside and get rid of that annoying prompt every time you start that game I moved it outside of the program files, Mine is actually called C:\Alternate Program Files\.. as I have more pre-vista/7 programs. tek5828
Ooh ok i get it. Well, im a hard core gamer :D I Spend most (ALOT) of my time on the computer when not sleeping, eating, out or at school. The computer that i am on was once a shared computer with my Bro (older) until he got his own. He kinda ran the show but Permision pop'ups were never a problem because he disabled UAC for day 1. I Can't believe microsoft thought UAC was a good idea!! Freezing applications and asking if you want to run them AFTER you have double clicked them!! Anyway, yeh UAC- Havent had it enabled for awhile. BUT also running TREND MICRO PRO anti virus software. So havent had a virus. I was seriously about to move my oblivion to C:Games folder (its 8.8gb) but then found out that i don't have those problems. I thought i did :D Anyway- Been on CS, Run as Admin works for my saving now. Dont have to edit Cyodil terain :D
Nycimus
I don't post often, but I do happen to know how to solve your problems. The Oblivion CS at first behaves fine, but it eventually gets confused. If your mod doesn't directly edit the TAMRIEL worldspace, the cs will crash upon saving the mod. So the solution is, once you are done and ready to save for the first time, go grab a random static object (i suggest a rock) and drop it somewhere into the TAMRIEL worldspace. (A "Wilderness" cell) Then save the mod. It shouldn't crash. It has nothing to do with GECK, or directory, or your other mods, or anything! Hope this helps!
