LE Featherfall (Slowfall) Spell

An alteration spell that gives you a temporary buff that makes you to fall slowly, making you receive no fall damage

 

Edit: I wanted to do it myself but creation kit gets up to 4GB RAM, stops there and doesn't load

I thought I can create an A buff, so when you cast it you get A and a loop starts that reduces your fall speed to X if it's higher than X while checking for A buff, if A doesn't exist, loop ends, also needs a check to not start the same loop twice, loop should also end if player doesn't have the featherfall spell, incase user uninstalls the spell during its effect

I made a mod that changed the cushioned perk. So instead of wearing all heavy armor, the only requirement is that you are barefoot. Then it reduces falling damage by 90 percent. It is a bit immersion breaking. The only reason I never really use it is if I want to jump off a cliff or a waterfall and feel like I'm cliff diving.

Personally I enjoyed version 4 more than the current version 5 as a lot of my favorite spells were removed, but version 5 does have some really interesting ones.

It doesn't make you fall slower, v4 eliminates fall damage, v5 reduces fall damage

I know this is an old ass thread, but just in case you never found it, there is a mod that adds a slowfall spell that makes you fall very slowly as long as the spell is active. It does mean you can sort of swim in the air as your descending though, as if you're gliding. It's in Mighty Magick, as an Apprentice Alteration spell.
