ahctapknot
I recently purchased a pc copy of oblivion goty and ported it for mac. I have followed all instructions for manual modding on the cider version , but can only get Shivering Isles to run. i have the .esp files in my oblivion data folder , as well as meshes, textures, etc. in their respective folders. I have also edited the plugins.txt file to show all .esp/.esm files and even follwed the recommended load order. any ideas?????
IkeCoast
Wait a minute, matey, TransGaming Cider is a professional tool marketed at Game Developers, as far as I know. How comes that you got it? Cheers! Edited February 12, 2014 by IkeCoast
nuska
I'm also very curious as to where ahctapknot got their hands on a copy of the tool :)
ahctapknot
I'm a sound designer for a start up dev team and we have a version of cider to test ( I understand it's not always that simple, but I work with a lot of people in the industry) . I wanted to play oblivion on my mac since I do not own a PC anymore. i was just looking for some advice since I really only know about the sound side of things and don't know if I'm doing this right. Thandal
a) You don't say what your problem actually is. If Shivering Isles (and, I presume, the vanilla game) is working) what exactly is the issue? b) In any case, it sounds like a question to address to TransGaming since it appears to be a result of something in the porting process, and you have their product for testing, right? (This was a test, right?)
YetAnotherPotato
You've probably already looked this up, but here's a loooong youtube video by a guy who looks like he's gotten Oblivion Mod Manager, BOSS and Wrye Bash (I think, I didn't watch the whole thing) to run on his Mac using Wineskin. He installs Oscuro's overhaul during the video. I guess you could try getting OBMM running following his instructions and see if that helps. I'm lazy, so I just sacrificed some disk space to the Bootcamp gods and I now have a momentarily stable teetering pile of mods and am very happy.
