DarkRaven666
Hi there everyone,I tried to remove the sleeves of the chainmail cuirass(with nifskope) and add some short sleeves and bare forearms from the blacksmith shirt, but when I started playing the game, the character's arm's and forearms where completely missing although in the nifskope they were in place. Also I removed the sleeves from a custom cuirass and left it sleeveless, but instead of my tattooed skin my arms have the default skin from robert's male body replacer. So what could've gone wrong. Do you guys have any idea or advice? Thanks in advance!
GWChapman
Ok, I've had this problem before. In NifSkope make sure that there is only one Scene Root in the mesh. As for the second problem, check the texture path for the arms. It may be incorrectly set.
BossDweebe
There are naming conventions in NifSkope that have to befollowed. One way is to name the NiNode of the shirt to match the NiNnode name of the armor you are copying to, (if they are different)Another is to name the shirt parts (Strip or Shape)to match the armor, but add a number at the end ie - curiass01 - curiass01:2. To make an short sleeve armor show a unique tattoo you need tohave the body part name suit as well. (not upperbody or foot etc). The Material Property should also be renamed to something like - default. The texture with the tattoo should also be called something different. Shirt will do.The body texture should also be renamed to something that suits - ie - armortats, and put in the folder with the armor (the folder part is just to keep organised). So - you could make a sleeveless cuirass with short shirtsleeves that show lowerarms with tattoos. My - NPC Clothing and Armour Sampler Vol 2 has a short NifSkopetutorial on the topic. It it still does not work in game then it has to be re rigged (the two dissimilar parts joined)with a 3D program.I have recently started using Wings. It is free, and has a less steep learningcurve than Blender.
