Skyrim CTD help?

Ive been getting some random CTD's and am hoping someone can shed some light on what might be the problem.

 

firstly, system specs..

4ghz quad core

16gb ram

R7 260x 2gb overclocked edition GPU - water cooled

GPU drivers are up to date.

 

mods, aside of the unnofficial patches, im only running three mods, Falskaar, immersive armors and immersive weapons. so really, theres not many mods,

and theyve all been BOSS sorted, so load order shouldnt be a problem.

All of my save files are around the 8000kb mark, accoring to steam skyrim has logged 35 hours of gameplay (dont know if that helps or is relevant)

 

When i boot up my pc, and start skyrim i can generally play with no problems for a long length of time (although occasionally i get a silent crash quite randomly).

But the main problem is, is that after ive crashed once, or ive exited the game for some other reason, and i start skyrim up again i keep getting a silent crash within the first 60 seconds of gameplay.

Its not crashing on loading screens, or at bethesda logo, its once i get in game. Im really confused about what the problem is, earlier on i got four consecutive crashes after start up and loading my save before

i got back into steady uninterrupted gameplay again.

Ive verified the integrity of the game cache in my steam library, when i do it says 'one files failed to validate and will be re acquired'. I get this message every time i verify the game cache.

 

I'd really appreciate some helpful advice, the crashes havent been game breaking or anything too bad yet, but are starting to get a bit frustrating.

1) Copy/paste your BOSS log here (doesn't matter if you only have a few mods), including the SKSE information, and the list of plugins not recognized by BOSS if one is generated. Enclose them in a set of spoiler tags so they won't clutter the screen.

 

2) List any mods you use that normally do not come with plugins and would not show up on a BOSS log, such as texture or body replacers.

 

3) Have you tweaked or edited the game ini files?

 

4) Have you uninstalled mods in the past and continued with save games made with those mods active?

Thought I'd hijack the thread rather than clutter up space with my own.

Why would you do that? There is no one cause to all game instability. Start your own thread, then people will be able to provide assistance specific to your modded setup.

I've managed to fix said problem but I apologise for posting here. In the past on forums, I've usually encountered, "There's already a thread, take it up there instead." So I thought I was taking the wisest option in this case and asking it here instead of starting my own, due to previous experiences, I didn't intend to derive from the original post.

yeah, i was going to say, dont just tell me you fixed your problem. i'd like to hear how you did so?

ok, and for ripple - i havent edited ini files, or tweaked the game
i also have not uninstalled any mods and kept playing on that save.
Im not using any mods that wouldnt show as plugins.

unrecognised plugins - this is supposedly the replacement for spike.esm, thats what i read anyhow. but BOSS hasnt been updated to it as of yet.

 

The following plugins were not found in the masterlist, and must be positioned manually, using your favourite mod manager or by using BOSS's user rules functionality. You can submit unrecognised plugins for addition to the masterlist directly from this log by clicking on a plugin and supplying a link and/or description of its contents in the panel that is displayed.

2) Download TES5Edit from the link in the BOSS log, follow the instructions on the same page, and clean the plugins flagged by BOSS as containing 'dirty edits' (except where the BOSS log explicitly states the plugin's 'dirty edits' are intentional and need not be cleaned), including the DLC and update esm's. You will need to remove a) identical to master entries and b) undelete/disable deleted references.

 

3) Download the 'BOSS Userlist Manager' (you can find it on Skyrim Nexus). Install it and add a custom rule for

Hothtrooper44_Armor_Ecksstra.esp 

to have it load immediately before

Hothtrooper44_ArmorCompilation.esp 

The next BOSS masterlist update should incorporate this change, but this will suffice until then.

 

4) Can you describe your CTDs in greater detail? When/where/what was going on or what were you doing. Start keeping a log or journal of details regarding any CTDs you experience. If a 'pattern' can be detected, this may greatly aid in uncovering the possible culprits.

Thanks for the advice regarding BOSS, ill start doing that in a bit.

 

The best detail i can give regarding the CTD's is that they generally happen when i play skyrim for the first time since PC boot up, then quit syrim for a few minutes to go do something (dinner, whatever) and then re start skrim. they happen usually within the first 30 to 60 seconds after loading a save, and it doesnt seem to matter where i am, or what im doing. its just a silent ctd, no error messages.
