JoKelly
so far work on my personal mod has gone well. a few bumps and such but no biggy. then I get set to final create the new world space that will be the final home of my work and I find that not one single program I own or that I can find on the net will export a 16 bit non interlaced IBM gray scale Raw image for the height map editor in GECK. Ive spent three days and who knows how many hours looking for plug ins for any of the four image editors I have and nothing. (I have Adobe photo shop, Adobe Elements 5, Corel Pro 3, and Gimp seems like everything can import them but nothing can export them. so any help you folks can offer I would appreciate. MartinPurvis
Adobe Photoshop can definitely export at those settings, I done it for my test worldspaces. Your image is in photoshop ready to be exported.Make sure under Image > Mode that Grayscale is selected and the channel is 16 BitsWhen you're slicing up your image into quads your quads have to be 1024 x 1024.File > Save As > Photoshop Raw and keep the header as 0 and the byte order as IBM PC.You are following TrickyVein's tutorial right? JoKelly
thanks for the response, when importing Photoshop recognizes the 16 bit non interlaced IBM .raw. on export it only allows me to export an 8 bit raw. not sure why. and no I havent out of all the searches Ive ran I never saw that Tut. google searchs tend to bring up only Cry and Unity results on the matter. so thanks for that I will check it out.
