No water lod from Whiterun

Hey guys. I have just recently noticed that whenever I stand on one of the tower rampart things around the wall of Whiterun (from inside the city of course) I have no lod for the water that should be there from the river/stream outside the city. Do any of you know what could be causing this and how to fix it? I've seen people's screenshots where the water shows up just fine, so I know it's a problem on my end. Thanks.

EDIT: It looks like the problem only occurs when I'm close to the water affected. Below is a screenshot taken from far back and above Dragonsreach showing all the water looking exactly as it should. Any ideas how to fix?

This photo shows the first place I noticed it from. You can see where the water should be flowing towards my character from the bottom waterfall.

This photo shows the view from Dragonsreach where the water splits off into two directions. You can see that part of the stream is still there while also missing a large block of lod, where as the other stream from the split (from first photo) is not present at all.

I know this I'd a little late but I have the exact same problem. There is a mod called whiterun lod fix but that only fixes the close part of the river for me. A mod that will surely solve this is open cities skyrim. This mod is very performance heavy however. If you ever found another solution I would be interested to know.

2 things you might try - one is a ini setting. Under terrainmanager you have the settings fblockLoddistance 0, 1 and 2. Now these setting have dramatic effects on LOD quality, 0 is the closest to thep layer and 2 being the furthest level. You can safely have 2 at 250000 without degrading performance. Idk what kinda computer you have but you might try upping level 0 and 1, usually you make level 1 double that of 0. You might find upping level 1 brings the water back but maybe you need level 0 to increase. This could reduce your fps outdoors in Skyrim by a bit and also bring about infinite load screens or out of memory crashes if your game is not setup properly with enb etc

Long reply i know, figured id address it once and for all. I personally play with these setting at 70000, 140000 and 250000 respectively.

If that doesnt work, maybe try a water mod or even the skyfalls and skymills mod.
