Trask
I haven't been paying attention to Oblivions modding community for some time now, so I'll just ask outright; Which ones are the best cosmetic/face-improving mods around these days? No matter what I do, my character is an ugly mutha****er. And so is every other character in the game but they're not as important.
dezdimona
start by adding the mod Beautiful Women
Trask
Right, that takes care of the little side problem. Now onto the big one, my own character.
Sarya
Um... don't take this as offense, but I believe search functions here are nearly perfected now so you may want to use them first. That is actually practical meaning, as anyone who may answer here has his/her own tastes and won't nesessarily think as best mod the same one you will. For example Cute Elves race is extremely popular - and I feel sheer disgust seeing any of it's characters' faces. Tastes differ, you know, so your eyes may give better advice (and yes, I believe there are a lot of cosmetic mods of consideration for all tastes possible and as far as I saw NONE contain everything). But if you need some absolute best, then check Top 100. The most popular cosmetic mods don't really drop from there.

Don't take this as offence either but no, the search function in the nexus-sites are actually terrible. And I can only find female nude-mods on the top 100. There is this one "cute elves" mod. But that limits my character choice to one race. And if you're not sure what someone wants when they're asking for the best, use common sense but mostly everyone else's opinion, after all, I'm talking about appearances here. It's practically fashion.
dezdimona
IFT( improved facial textures) Enyala's also will help. Use the create face option in the game till you find one you like, then tweek it from there, saves a lot of time and the results are good.Patience and practice will eventually give you the look your seeking.
Sarya
Well, you then may want to clarify what cosmetic part you want to improve. Vanilla race skin textures/new race skin textures/bodies/hair/eyes? And what do you seek for them - cute/dark/lore-friendly/monstrous/anime/so on? There are probably thousands, you know (yes, I saw part of the question that is related to vanilla faces, but you seem to want more).

Vanilla races, something that makes my character look more like a real person rather than a Deep One from Dark Corners of the Earth. IFT( improved facial textures) Enyala's also will help. Sarya
Enayla is an author of a face texture mod. Okay, I'll find you better ones. Old ones: Danis13's:http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=7343Not the highest resolution, but very pleasant faces. Enayla's:http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=9534More generic-looking faces, but very smooth and I like lip details. Also two new mods, actually are HGEC-related (latest and most widely-used female body) body textures plus faces, but face textures fit male characters too (warning: female body textures related come in two sizes: huge and enormous. I'm serious). Ozmo's (a lot of nudity warning):http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=20022Note that this set is slightly lighter than vanilla, so using it for males will produce neck seam. Overall the faces created with this are very gentle. Comes with it's own installation tool. Do not use oiled face textures for males, will look odd with non-oiled body textures. The whole pack's size is colossal, choose the files you need carefully. F-INev Oblivion skinset by navetsea (a lot of nudity warning):http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=19021Technically similar to Ozmo's but different faces (you may see on pictures) and no install tool of it's own. Also the skin color is the same as vanilla.
true highlander
Respectfully, If you don't have the time or the patience to learn the intricacies of facegen, the are many save game faces you can scab to your body of choice. You better not mind the 'neck seam Frankenstein' look though, mods like Luchaires neck seam concealer helps in alot of cases, but not most in my opinion. Also, COBL fixes the npc face and hair issue bar none! Good luck in your pursuits.
