SilverDragon437
Hi! So, I'm having a problem. I was playing Skyrim last night and then my game froze. It froze so badly I had to shut my computer down, I couldn't get to task manager. After that, I restarted and tried to play skyrim. I got an error message saying "Application launch error p:0000065432". After googling that, I found that it was an SKSE problem. After a while of trying I just reinstalled skyrim. I also reinstalled SKSE. Now, the game launches, but crashes BEFORE the bethesda logo (the moment it starts up.) I can launch and play the game via the regular launcher, but not with SKSE which I need for mods. Does anyone possibly know what might be causing this problem and maybe have a solution to fix it? pheo3309
Did you start over with fresh saves or do you still have your old ones? Edit: For clarification, sometimes with some SKSE modded saves can cause the game to crash at the logo. If you wiped your saves with your reinstall, then we can continue down the list, though if you haven't just move your saves to the desktop and try starting the game again through SKSE. Lemme know! :) Edited February 15, 2014 by pheo3309
SilverDragon437
Nope, still crashes. Edit: I found a file in \Documents\my games\skyrim\SKSE, a skse.log file. In it it said plugin C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Skyrim\Data\SKSE\Plugins\\StorageUtil.dll (00000001 papyrusutil plugin 00000001) disabled, fatal error occurred while loading plugin Maybe this is causing the error? Edit 2: I deleted this file and the game is launching and working just fine. I'll leave this up for anyone else having this problem. Thanks for your help. ripple
Just to be clear, SKSE does -not- cause your game to crash. That plugin in the SKSE folder is not from SKSE, but from a SKSE mod. You need to find out which mod it is that came with that plugin, then uninstall it and see if it resolves your issue.

Much better way of stating it than I do. Thanke! Edited February 15, 2014 by pheo3309
