Feltorn Von Dentai
Now, Most of you know about the "streamlined" mod for Oblivion that makes the game run much smoother with much less lag, and I was wondering if anyone has plans for/knows about/is making/has made a version of it for Fallout 3? I mean, I don't exactly suffer game-breaking lag, but I do get slowness and stuttering from time to time. And after I downloaded the Streamlined mod for Oblivion I noticed a massive change. Forgive me if this has already been brought up, but I don't spend as much time on these forums as I'd like to.
lilgamefreek
I don't think there's as much of an optimization problem with FO3 as there was with Oblivion, so I don't think anyone has bothered to make one. Sorry about your lag though.
Feltorn Von Dentai
There may not be as big a one, but there is definatly one there. Like I said though, not game-breaking or anything, just annoying.
Blockade
Have you read through the Tweakguides.com pages for this game? It was a great help for me. Also there's a utility on Nexus called Fallout 3 Configator that you can use as well.
Callighan
Do you know Oldblivion? Perhaps it's not what you're looking for but I think it's a bit relevant. Here's something posted on the site November last year:People have started discussing running Fallout 3 on old and unsupported hardware in a similar manner as we did for Oblivion. Currently there's some progress but in the end there will probably be a need for some patching of the executable. As we have a good number of people who have experience with this engine in particular and the render path seems to be extremely similar I'll go ahead and link to the forum topic here.
