Texturing

Well meh

if I did a glasses project

I'd launch FOMM and open the BSA unpacker

select the meshes BSA to open

search in there for the glasses

Then extract that or those

Open the meshes with nifscope

then with the block list an block details turned on

I'd find the entry's for BShaderTextureSet, an open + signs

or whatever until the file path for the texture was listed

Because the better way to set texture paths is using nifscope rather

than using the GECk to apply a alternate texture, more work

Usually what I end up doing is making a false data file on the desktop

because you can only point nifscope to a folders named data for some reason

to use nifscope to preview texture changes. Then delete it when I move it to the real data file.

You'll have to use the .dds converter

then photoshop it

then .dds convert it back an place it in the game

Idk if you ask me, I'd rather not convert

just edit the preview, edit preview, edit preview, put in the game

rather than edit convert preview, edit convert preview, edit convert preview, then place in the game.

What do you mean by you use the Fallout 3 archive?
