Compatibility Issues; Finding the root of the problem.

My Skyrim has been reinstalled several times due to a very specific issue, yet it keeps persisting; At random times, from 5 minutes into the game to 1-2 hours, it will randomly crash. I cannot recreate the crash, for if i load an autosave even 10 seconds earlier from the crash, it doesn't happen. Yet this is very annoying. I have a small list of mods that i find essential, and some more that are more on-off/experimental. If i could get help troubleshooting any recognized "bad" mods or some mod compatibilities i would be very grateful.

 

Please ignore the messed up sorting, BOSS don't want to sort my mods recently, though i have manually sorted my mods, yet with no way to export the list. But these are the mods i have installed.

Right off, that's a problem. So you need to figure out why it is that BOSS doesn't seem to work on your end. Describe the problem you are experiencing with BOSS in greater detail.

Well, it simply doesn't find the folder, not after the reinstall anyway, as i also installed it on a new library on my SSD. When i was starting up the skse that i had installed manually with the 7zip file, it said that it could not find the .dll in the C:\Games\\Skyrim folder (notice the extra \). I think this issue is related to it, that there may be something wrong with my installation. Though the crashes, which is my primary issues has been ongoing for 3 installations now, and about 4 months.

EDIT: I should maybe add, SKSE works fine if installed in the skse installation and the shortcut, though the NMM SKSE shortcut is broken as well.

My skyrim is located in my C:\Games which is a steam library on my SSD. I know this seems kinda fishy, but no, i have not pirated skyrim. (steam ID for reference: http://steamcommunity.com/id/flaccidmoose/ )

Alright. Run 'BOSS GUI.exe' (it's located in the same folder as BOSS.exe). Under 'Edit', select 'settings', then change 'auto-detect' to Skyrim. Under 'Active Game', check to make sure 'Skyrim' is selected. Then see if BOSS can find your Skyrim installation.

Still nothing, i guess i'll just reinstall steam and skyrim. Though the crashing issue with the mods still persists, which is my main issue ;)

The fact that you can't run BOSS means you can't use it to set the template load order of your plugins. That may itself be a major contributor to your game instability. In addition, the BOSS log will output an array of information about the mods you are using, so that we can begin to make some informed diagnosis about the possible causes of why your game has become unstable (and thus make recommendations based on that information). So fixing that should be a priority, as it may end up fixing or mitigating your CTDs.
