cmal
The stealth items have two components to their effects: the sneaking bonuses and the visual effect. Just go into GECK and remove the visual effect; I forget what it was called, but its the Base Effect that uses Chameleon.
BadPenney
is there any way to remove the invisibility of the stealth field but keep the effects it gives? such as being able to practically walk into someone without them noticing youYes. That ability is caused by the stealthboy increasing your sneak to 100. The Stealh Field is a visual effect only, and should be removable without causing any increased detection by NPCs. The stealth boy also has a stop combat feature. You should be able to modify the Stealth Boy effect the way that you propose just be removing the Stealth Field from its list of effects. cmal
As I discovered in another thread, it seems like Chameleon isn't just a visual effect. Even the 5 magnitude of the Stealth Suit's StealthBoyInvis enchant (that is, the Stealth Boy's own enchant) has a significant effect on your ability to be not detected.
