Anyone having trouble downloading?

Im download stuff all the time, without trouble on here but recently since the Problems on the nexus I jhave been unable to download..

I click on the download button, wait for the download to be ready and then it flipping says it downloading into a "Temporary Folder" in witch I created no such folder!

Normally You choose witch destination you wish to place your download into. I have a single Folder where I put the Fo3 related material, unzip them there and see whats what as you would do with anymod but I cannot now!

I have tho been able to download this: http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=8144

When I download it, it asks witch destination to save As. Bingo. Downloaded. No probs what so ever... Just could be Bathesda Plugin Data Files witch I cant download....

I can download stuff from other sites with ease but not ere....

What the hell is going on?! Help?

This is on your end. The site does not tell your computer where to put new downloads, you do. In their infinite wisdom, Microsoft decided to place new downloads in a temp folder that was difficult to find by default. :whistling: So you must redefine where to put the downloads. As you say, usually you can set it to ask where each time. However, a MS update may have reset it for you. :pinch: Try going in and changing your download preference back to what you want.

Right I see...

How would I make the changes themselfs? Normally I would know how to make such changes but in this case, I have no idea where to make the changes..

How would I make such changes?

Thanks for the help.

I'm having a little bit of trouble with the Mountain_Tower_V6_Final mod. It downloaded correctly but the instructions for installation require that it be unpacked. How on earth do you do this?!?! Could you tell me how to do it, or is there a file I need to download. I have a windows xp, if that helps.

Thanks for any info you can give me!

When the say unpack they are referring to extracting the archive, I suggest downloading Winrar or 7z as an archive tool. They will unpack most of the mods on this site.

I do not know, I thought it was a ultility already installed but i shall download one that fits my preference.

* I got the " FreeDownload Manager" availabe from this site: http://www.freedownloadmanager.org/download.htm

It was quick, only 6.49 MB and seems to fit but Still do not know where the pereferances are.

** That download manager is a bit iffy so I got meself this one: http://www.internetdownloadmanager.com/download.html

Tested it out by downloading a 28Kb simple weapon mod of Fo3 nexus and it did the trick. Tho takes a bit more time to download now by sorting where to put the download, it sloves this problem i think.... will tell of any more bugs and errors.

By the Way. Can anyone tell me what the exact time Mothership Zeta Will be released? Its the 3rd of August as you know and I see the Addon nowhere. Not on Windows Live or anything...and I was hoping to spend my newly aquired 1000 microsoft pointies...

Thank you budda and bben46. Hope you get the comments up and running soon. People Need feedback after all dont they? I know I do.
