Can't start quest "Those!"

I'm trying to start the quest for "Those!" but the kid bryan wilks when he runs up to me and force starts a dialoge just says "what is it lady?" and the only options in his dialoge is: "what happened here" and "Mind if I ask about some of the people who lived here?". I'm not seeing any way to start the quest because of this, Ive tried force-starting the quest and reseting the kid, but neither are working properly to make this work naturally.

post a load order please, extract it from fomms saved game manager and post it directly. don't edit it.

 

Or get the list from the plugin.txt file the game makes .

 

sounds like you have a bad mod in there all messed up.

That's all of them, i unchecked everything but the main game esm's to try to get around it but the bug still persists.

ok,what you need to do is find a saved game just prior to meeting the boy. Ok?, load only the dlc's and no other mods with that save and see what happens.

R.A.C.E <--I have no idea what it is. But if there is a problem , being caused by a scripted event in either of those two that effect "Those". then you must start that quest before those mods are loaded.

I used an earliar save and everything is working fine. When i loaded it, there apparently was content i wasn't using anymore, not sure what it was. I think i'll just have to deal with not doing the quest normally at least this time through but thank you for the advice. I Just wish there was a way around this with my current playthrough.

Don't feel bad, I lost 50 hours doing something I should have known better not to do, I renamed my profile in mo, when I did that, all data 465 saved games just gone, and you can not recover them from Virtual ram images. they are simply just wiped.

 

I tried to back step too. no good. system restore, no dice. so..like you. I started over. From scratch licking my wounds. we all make mistakes.

I think the real trick is....learn from them.
