Montagne62
Firstly, I'm pretty new to downloading mods so I'm a little bit lost. I can download the mods to a folder but from there I'm clueless as to how I'm actually supposed to get them up on Oblivion. I can't seem to get the mods into my data files or into mod manager. Thank you for any help!
dezdimona
to convert for OBMM do this! First: do not unzip file,or after you have checked it to make sure its complete or the way you want it (if options are available) rezip it. Then: ok,click create omod, add the mod name and author where indicated.then click add archive, the mod will then be broken down automatically. When its ready you'll see some writing in the big box under file pathThen click create omod, answer yes and omod will be created.you'll get a green square in your mod list, click on it and then click activate!all done! mod is now active
David Brasher
You need to put your esp. and bsa. files if any in your Oblivion/Data Directory. Default location is: C:\ProgramFiles\BethesdaSoftworks\Oblivion\Data\MySuperSpecialAwsomeMod.esp Go to file manager and move your files to make it so. If your mod includes meshes, textures, sounds, and such, you will need to merge the folders that contain them with the proper folder in Oblivion\Data. For example, if the mod has a mesh called SwordofRevealingLight.nif in your Data\Meshes\Armament\SharpThings folder, pick up your mod's meshes folder and drop it in your Oblivion\Data folder. It will probably say you already have a folder called "meshes." Do you want to merge folders? Say yes until it stops asking you and the job is done. If you think you made a mistake, uncompress your mod file again and look at the file paths to be sure you got them all right. Often you can do the whole job in one step by picking up "Data" and dropping it in "Oblivion."
