Deleted10140670User
When I started to play Skyrim on the PC, the first thing I wanted to get were mods and since my PC is a weak one, a Toshiba Core i3 that is 4 years old, it can't handle high graphics and such. The only graphical textures I installed so far were the better female faces, just. Body and characters textures seem to work fine. Some weapons and armors also work as well, but when it comes to Followers... no. I've installed so many followers and none of them worked so far... zero! I searched on the net if anyone else was having the same issue, but it seems that I'm alone. I wanted so much to have Lara Croft as my companion and others. I even tried the standalone followers and yet they don't work as well. I don't know what to do. I could try to make my own followers, but Creation Kit freezes my PC for some reason, so that's why I had to remove it. I could change some NPC's faces by using Skyrim NPC 'Editor' or whatever is called, but it was having some issues as well. What can I do? Please, help. balwick
What do you mean they don't work? Graphically? No dialog menus? Not present in game?

Not present in game? They don't even appear on the game. Like they're not even there, yet the Data says they are.
balwick
Have you ran the Skyrim launcher, rather than SKSE launcher, since installing them, and checking the Data Files list for active plugins? How are you installing them? NMM is the best way, IMO.
Ultimateunit34
Could be that you don't have the "UFO - Ultimate Follower Overhaul" mod download and activated. If you don't, then you will have just a follower than 15 followers. Fiveten is the max if this mod is install. Check the modders description front page or in the files you downloaded, on what needs to be require & where to find standalone followers of their location in-game. Don't forget to activate the mods in the "Skyrim Launcher" you just recently download and check it if it is checked, before starting up Skyrim Launcher or "SKSE". Experiment one follower at a time, can take a while but help keeps things smooth to find which isn't working. If you jam all of the mods together without testing them and got CTD or NPC's not showing up, could be confusing. Most modder's and users use, "SKSE" -> to improve mesh/texture/script/armor/plugins/etc., that require these days to play those mods. Make sure you have the latest version of Skyrim 1.9.32.0. to date to use SKSE. I download manually because I wanted to install the mods myself, make changes if there is a problem. "NMM" is still updating, I think. I used that once I first tried, it is an easy to install though I just wasn't into the program. Hope I help you out. If not I'll just put my head on the desk going (Sigh, with a cool glass of water).
Icymato
I'm having the same problem, i actually got one of them to work wich was "Recorder, a stand alone follower" but in game i only saw a floating mouth and sword. also her name changed from Recorder to Ravarok. idk, i think old rim is f*#@ed or i screwed something up. i tried reimstalling NMM and skyrim. i switched to MO but i still have this problem. so yeah, i hope my input also gets this thread a bump. Tasheni
Two possibilities: A corrupt game or a mod that prevents others from working properly. Go back to the roots. Check file integrity in Steam, turn off ALL of your mods, especially ENBs. Install a follower mod with MO or NMM - MO is the better choice. Test this follower. It says has no problems and i waited for about an hour(maybe longer), hoping that my computer was just being difficult, but nope. Please help :P
