Do you think it is possible to add a few characteristics to these forums like we find at stackexchange?

 

Basically, each user could vote up or down a forum thread, and each post.

 

The OP user can accept an answer as correct.

 

All users get points based on it.

 

 

Alternatively:

 

There is the Arqade http://gaming.stackexchange.com/, but for some reason I prefer to make some questions here.

 

May be you could be their partner and make the NexusModsExchange, to provide support exclusively to game mods hosted here?

If they introduce a special questions sub-forum first, like for each game maybe, this could potentially make some sense.

 

The way it is right now it won't be really that useful on a broad scale. What up- or downvotes are you going to give to replies done to a WIP topic?

 

Also let's not forget the forum framework software used here, namely IP.Board, doesn't allow for any of this. They would have to choose another one and redesign the entire network accordingly to work with it.

The specific games, or even game-mods, could be found thru tags.

 

So I think the best would be to create another site, keeping this one, and that being stackexchange partner and use their framework.

The idea is to provide a strong base for everything related to solving problems (question/answer), anything else would not be there, would stay here; so about WIP I guess the OP user is looking for opinions, what will have nothing to do with that; so WIP would stay on this forum; so, threads here that could be classified as QA could (in some way) be migrated to that new other base.

 

If it could be implemented here, the forum thread could be marked as a question/answer mode, and so it would work differently, with votes and solution acceptance by OP user.
