Cakester
Before I attempt to try at making fallout 3 even partially multiplayer, I am going to see if I can make a simple addon for the game that lets you view stuff from the internet.Maybe get a web page and display it's contents. Cipscis
I'm confused, do you want to turn Fallout 3 into a web browser? That wouldn't really work... at all... Cipscis
Callighan
Perhaps a simple mod that compiles all the player's stats including last save location into a web page.
BigKevSexyMan
Yes, this seems very peculiar, but you seem to have confidence in what you're talking about, so I'll trust you for now.
Britanol
I would say try to make a terminal that lets you actually surf the internet. I know there was an add-on for WAR that let you open web browsers, and I used the same thing with WoW. It shouldn't be too hard, but then again I'm not much for mods. Callighan
It shouldn't be too hard, but then again I'm not much for mods. Fixed. :)Having twiddled GECK a lot, I don't think this is possible. But I'll be glad if I'm proven wrong on this one.

I successfully used my program to read the first 10 characters from webpages and display them in game.It works by having a script that utilizes fose's SetUIString. And overwriting the part of the scriptline that is the text to be set in the xml file. from there one of the strings from my custom interface copies its grandparent. to see a video of it:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kmy4gmEGaZM
Britanol
That's pretty cool. I think it's interesting how you made the tiny monitor in the top right. Or was I looking in the wrong place?

Callighan
I noticed that the monitor in it showed html tags on it. What was the function of the monitor on the top left?Intriguing. Still, the question was whether you could display web content onto a terminal. Perhaps that could be done by some kind of superimposition? The mind boggles. Congrats for this achievement! :)
