Project HOST
Hello everyone, I'm new here.. and new to modding. I've recently played Morrowind and Oblivion on the Box but now that I have a super computer I decided to check out everything I've been missing out on. I have to say I didn't think I'd like it but I have'nt even made it out of the jail cell yet and I'm in love! Anyways.. so I got a little mod happy and installed a few (nude, races, armor, menu screen, color map etc just to name a few). First issue is that when I go to create a character they are all missing their eyes.. other than a few select races that are mods i.e. Mystic Elf.. so I'm thinking that there are some conflicting scripts? I've installed so many I don't know what is vanilla and what isn't. Another issue I'm having is with the nudity lol, there is no texture to the nude bodies.. I can provide a list of all the mods I'm using.. I'm thinking about uninstalling everything and starting over with a mod manager.. if there is a way around this I'd kill to know! Thanks in advance!!! :wallbash: Here's my list: 4 New Races For Rens-9475Abrial Human Races Revamped-25524Alternative Loading Screens and Tips-9420 (which I can't figure out how to install properly)Color Map Mod-1950 (can't install properly)Custom Race FixAtmospheric Weather System Fix (not installed)Elaborate Eyes v1.1Enhanced Water v20-8011HGEC Body v1dot21-15802High Res Color Map by NiteMounted CombatNew Races Screenshots (not installed)Open Cities (can't figure out how to install lol)Realistic Combat (not installed)Ren Beauty Pack v1.1The IlztafeinClocks Of CyroliilCapes and CloaksDeadly Reflex Combat MovesEvantals Dual WieldingIllumination WithinMenu Video Replacement SceneryOMOD Version 10171Phoenix EquipmentUnique Landscapes The Great Forrest Ancient RedwoodsQARLTP3 (uninstalled) NOTE: uninstalled means that I tried and obviously failed to install.. they aren't showing up in the Data Files screen when I open the game. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!
AlmostWhatIWant
Currently having a similar problem with similar mods, the eyes are all messed up. NPCs have half of two different eyes. If I remember correctly its some sort of issue with size differences between custom race eyes and the default ones. I have no idea how to fix it though. Nexus Set
4 New Races For Rens-9475Abrial Human Races Revamped-25524...Elaborate Eyes v1.1...Ren Beauty Pack v1.1... These are the mods that I think are suspect. In Oblivion, you can only activate one cosmetic/race record mod at a time. The last one in your load order would deactivate the others and if the meshes don't match with the activated mod, things like what you're experiencing happens. When you learn more about modding, you can try to merge beauty mods yourself or you might want to try downloading already made compilations here at the Nexus. But remember only install and activate one of these at a time.
rdamstrom
hair and eye mods are never compatible unless they have been merged best to findtes4file and remove these mods then look for a mod that has them all merged or you couldtry to merge them your self using TES4Gecko. you can use tes4file to remove any mod except any you installed with OMM for that you should remove them with OMM
dezdimona
too many cosmetic mods cause this and other eye problems. also you need to adjust your load order as last loaded overwrites any loaded before it!
Project HOST
Wow, thanks for all the responses.. so there is a prog. that I can use to uninstall all the mods without me having to uninstall Oblivion? Also, is there a prog I can use to manage all of my mods for future problem solving? Something to keep them separate from the Vanilla files from a interface point of view? Thanks again!
Ok I downloaded TES4 and OMM, and I'm still learning how to use them, so far I've learned by process of elimination that 4 New Races for Ren's-Beautiful People is the sh!tster.. with everything else deactivated other than that single mod the eyes are screwed up lol.. I was wondering if TES4 completely removes all mods selected? I'd like to be able to uninstall all of them and re-install with OMM so that I don't have to un-install and then re-install Oblivion.. I'm a little concerned about some texture files I manually put into the data like the nudity.. I downloaded HGEC_Body_v1dot21-15802 mod, Alternative_Loading_Screens_And_Tips-9420 mod, High_Res_Color_Map_by__Nite_-16055 mod and another nude mod called something like Eye Candy.. they all require manual installation of texture files. I can't figure out how to install them correctly. I have the Eye Candy mod installed I think because they do not wear any undergarments but there is no texture, the HGEC Body mod has textures but it also has many different files to choose from and I can't figure out which ones go where.. lol any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks..
rdamstrom
Oblivion Mod Managerhttp://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=2097 use this to turn on/off the mods you have installed. you should be able to turn off all but Oblivion.esm that is the main file for Oblivion (may be different for shivering ilses) Ounce you have turned off all the mods load the game. it will tell you its missing stuff, load it any way and make a new save. now you can start turning on the mods one at a time and seeif they are working as expected with no side effects. rdamstrom
Tes4files creates a folder for every thing it removes so you can always put back what you take out compare the data taken out with the original mod you have to make sure it hasn't removed something it shouldn't have and replace anything that wasn't in the original mod. it will not remove any mesh or textures that you have put in manually the best way to fix the body problem is to reinstall over what is already there I have done this a few times and have always managed to get it to work. HGEC is the best choice and most developed at this point get the Eve stock clothing replacer to go with it
