Can't lift items with Grab key

I recently started playing Oblivion again after my interest in Fallout 3 became shaky, and I discovered a strange problem when trying to use the Z key to arrange stuff inside one of my houses. It doesn't work...it will sometimes knock an item over, but for some reason it refuses to actually lift and hold an item to place it. Does anyone know what might cause this?

 

EDIT: Nevermind, I forgot you need to hold the button down in Oblivion for it to work. Damn Fallout 3. >_<
