My own mod: house of clues

It's about a house near seyda neen. You start with 1 clue, and it points where the next one is. At the moment i got 13 clues, but i can't think of much more places in the house to hide little papers with a clue on it (i don't want to repeat hiding places, 2 times under a bed or something would get boring). The house is the same size and shape as nerano manor in balmora, and it got a basement and a "special" room which i'm not going to speak of. I need more places to hide the stuff in, so some ideas would be very appriciated.

 

Ofcourse, if i use your ideas il put your name at the credits list (which is completely empty at the moment).

This reminds me so much of Ultima 6. I loved that side quest. Each time you picked up a piece of paper, it would tell you the location of the next clue.

 

All I can say is, be sure to make the instructions clear, the locations interesting and the rewards great!

this is just a simple version, it's all happening inside the same house. Il probably add some more buildings to search trough. Bit of humour in the texts, funny (and less funny since i'm running out of ideas) locations for the clues, no level req since it involves no fighting at all. (Maybe i'l make some crazy monster that is harmless but got lots of hp, by killing it you can get the next clue)

 

One of the rooms is an upside-down area, i just made a room, and turned it around. :D

 

Another clue is found in a chest with like 10 different keys in it, which all weigh 150.0 . The chest with the next clue is at the other side of the house, and since (low level) players can't carry all of them at a time, they'l have to walk multiple times, hoping they pick the right key. And so higher levels can't do that either, maybe i'l make a leveled item of it. The higher your level the heavier the keys.

 

It's fun to make for me since it doesn't scripting, dialogue or anything that could get bugs. Simple to make, but still fun. I think im going to make a reward that is handy for traveling, not fighting (since the whole quest wasn't about fighting). A constant effect fortify speed amulet? Who knows

 

But il ask it again, if anyone got ideas, PLEASE tell me.

Well you don't say where the clues are atm so how do we know what ideas are new. And since if you post on the forum everyone will know... How about you PM me the current list and I'll see if I can come up with new ideas for you.

what what what? i'm gonna ignore that post and go on and help povuholo.

how's about this, make clues (the paper) and replace the name, meshe, icon, weight and value of something else, say a lockpick. that way you'll have to push space bar on absolutly everything to find it. be creative.
