Yes, its a textures and meshes issue..

It could be a several issues..

Try putting the meshes and textures (from the mod) back into your data file.. Basically re-install the mod.

If that doesn't work, you might have re-install the game.

Check the file paths in your compressed downloaded mod. For example, a hammer called called whacknsmacker.nif might be in meshes\awsomemod\hurtfulthings\hammers. Therefore for this example, be sure you have a directory tree like:

Oblivion\Data\meshes\awesomemod\hurtfulthings\hammers\whackensmacker.nif

Make sure all the nif's and dds's are where they belong. The error is probably that an entire folder is in the wrong place. Get on Windows Explorer and create some order from chaos. You should really avoid removing and reinstalling things. There are less disruptive ways to solve problems.

David is 100% correct. If you are unfamiliar with the paths, I'd recommend manually installing a few simpler mods file by file. That's how I eventually, by myself, learned the basics. Otherwise, like me, you will inevitably be faced with a reinstall...unless you can put up with purple blobs and worst of all the dreaded polygonal !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
