OBMM CLR Error: 80004005

I installed Oblivion GOTY disc 1 and 2 recently, and all official plugins, and just earlier I installed Oblivion Mod manager ... I just tried to run it for the first time a few moments ago and it gave me an error 'clr error: 80004005' . What could cause this error? All of or most of my mods were downloaded as OBMM files so i can't install most until I can figure this out and get OBMM to run :|

It sounds like a corrupted download. try deleting the OBMM files, re download and reinstall.

OBMM works outside of the game, It actually shuts down before the game starts, so it should not have affected the game.

Did you download from the official OBMM site? or a mirror? The official site, with the latest version is: http://timeslip.chorrol.com/obmm.html

I tried running the oblivion mod manager and got the error as it tried to open it, Oblivion itself works though. I downloaded OBMM from http://timeslip.chorrol.com/obmm_download.html , Oblivion still works I played it for a few minutes last night after uninstalling oblivion mod manager and then trying out different versions just to make sure nothing happened to the game files after all of that.

I think that I may have a NET 2.0 problem possibly, although everything else that I've used requiring it hasn't had errors, but I did have a beta release of NET 2.0 that I had forgotten about which I uninstalled last night. It didn't help, even after a restart, but I found a post or 2 googling it on tech forums that mentioned to others with the same error, though form other applications, that it may be a problem.

I found a NET cleaner for all versions, currently I have 1.1, 2.0, and 3.0 , I had also deleted a prerelease of 3.5 that I had last night as well. I'm going to run Ccleaner on all options and checks and follow up on all the cleanup suggestions since I have had problems at one time that prevented me from using a messenger until eventually a new version had worked. Is it possible that a power outage during PC use could have damaged a file or files that were needed to open or use mod manager as well? I had a couple of bad storms and power outages this year while the computer was on and running programs.

It was a NET 2.0 issue, I clicked 'change' on it in add/remove programs after it wouldn't allow me to uninstall (to reinstall). It must've repaired something, because after that I installed OBMM again, and it works now. I hope this helps anyone if they ever have a similar problem.
