Malchik
Are your skills at a high enough level to be advanced to wizard? What do they say when you ask for advancement?
Glacius69
that did cross my mind. They say that I do not meet the requirments for advancment. I can't seem to find anyone who can train me further. But thanks thats probably what it is. I will go try and find someone to train me.
RuaDragonheart
Has anyone told you to get a wizard's staff yet? That's the only way to reach the rank 7 (wizard). You can buy a staff, but it's not cheap, or you can go steal one and talk to someone who's at the wizard rank while you have it on you, or you can find one in a cave someone... try Sud, off of Dagon Fel. Malchik
Ruadragonheart - it is always a good idea to read the full thread before posting. Then you will notice that Glacius 69 says he has the wizard's staff already in his first post. Anyway, I am not sure what skills you have Glacius but you may need to find the master trainers (Conjuration is in Ald Ruhn, Restoration is in Vos, Mysticism and Illusion are both in Sadrith Mora and Alteration is in Tel Branora; the trainers for the other mage skills Alchemy, Enchanting and Destruction are harder to find.) However you cannot train skills above the level of the attribute to which they are linked so for instance if your personality is 50 you cannot train Illusion above 50. If you scroll down your stats box it will tell you what you need to advance in the mages guild. Train if you can or if the attribute needs raising do 10 trainings in any skill that relates to that attribute (in my example that could be speechcraft or mercantile). Good luck! RuaDragonheart
Yeah, Malchik, that might help... my apologies.
VaanicOne
Hang on, I could've sworn there was a glitch in the game concerning this...
Marxist ßastard
...The trainers for the other mage skills Alchemy, Enchanting and Destruction are harder to find.<{POST_SNAPBACK}> Nonesense. Off the top of my head, Alchemy is in the propylon chamber of a dual-purpose stronghold / shrine to Malacath named Valenvaryon, in the Ashlands, near Urshilaku Camp; Enchanting is a hostile NPC in one of the South Grazelands strongholds (Indoranyon, I believe); Destruction is outside of Piernette's Farm in the Ascadian Isles, next to a family of giant rats -- Ygfa, the healer in the Pelagiad Imperial Cult shrine, will give you directions if you bring her Piernette's Silver bowl from within a smugglers' den outside of town. Yes, I know that's chock full of spoilers. This thread is spoiled rotten already.
Malchik
Yes, MB, I know where all the master trainers are. Sadly I even know their names. But you will note I was careful to be non-specific as to exactly where to find them while with the three you mention you have to be very detailed. This is why I chose not to include them and move the thread to spoilers as I shall now have to do. And Vaanic is correct that there can be a glitch with the mages guild quests but not at this point.
