KEVIN!

You didn't used to play mxo did you

on vector maybe an pwn me up a storm?

Anyhowz

Fallout 3 suffers from stuttering and also mouse lag

Which is wierd it's not so much in the original unmodded version

Nice Dxdiag, ouuu did you learn that in mxo :D

I would update to the killer new nivida drivers an make that 8800 GT sing

First turn off fallout 3 AA an AF settings via the default fallout3launcher.exe

which sets them to performance.

Then close that.

Open the nvidia control panel, change AA an AF settings to override any application setting

You can do this in either the global setting or the fallout3.exe game profile only

I used the global setting.

After I put the settings in there to force AA an AF settings, overriding any 3D application setting

I set AA to like SLI 8xQ or SLI 16xQ, AF you can set around 4X which is like fallout default I think

You can also set AA to whatever you like.

Fallout's AA an AF is low quality, geez you have to raise it up to like 8x or more just to get it to look right

which puts a big dent in performance, while turning it off an forcing whatever AA an AF you want via the

grapics card, you're able to set AA an AF at numbers double what fallout can, while not affecting performance

very much hence the higher settings, besdies having special settings like 8XQ which is a 8X setting that

performs like a 4X but with 8X quality, same for 16XQ

Go to microsoft an download something called direct X end user something or another, it's the last update for

direct X 9.0, you can just search direct X though, microsoft because they made it, I think there is a section for

direct X as well which might help you find it, the name is missleading because it says end user runtime or something

Here's a link to the tweek guide

http://www.tweakguides.com/Fallout3_1.html

it's old but great stuff, really great

the whole freaking thing is nice

The first part is the easy stuff then the end of it is the super comands in the fallout.ini

which is located in mydocuments\games\fallout.ini or something

it's a notepad file with hidden options

the tweek guide has lots of anti stutter settings

also the max ram fallout can use, and more

As a rule you can kind of put the settings to half

and not even notice, the guide goes into great detail

which would yeild perfect settings for chaos in the wasteland

There's a few performance mods outthere too

It doesn't get rid of all the stuttering

but you can minimize it so that only every so often you need to stop running

so that the system can catch up

so just pause for a bit when it happeneds then move on

or don't run so much...

Never auto save, never quick save, disable them

hit esc an create a new save each time because it pauses it

and also saves the whole thing rather than a partial

it's to avoid savegame coruption

also keep around 20 saves around

ditch these

VashDeagleV5.esp

MPammo.esp

MPammo isn't used

it's crap too, because if you use calibr then you have two types of ammo for certian guns that will only use one type

so you can't tell which ammo you have

I made a mod which has the Vasheagles in them

only they are all high res, an also each one is in the game rather than you just picking one

They also use Calibr bullets, which seems to be the future of guns in the wasteland

FullAutoPistolzV20test

http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=7877

You'll need to download Calibr an load it with the esm's

to use Fullautopistols, also don't bump into anything downstairs

it will cause a chaos nightmare boxes falling everywhere

but it shouldn't crash you, I tested it an minimized the havok

as much as I could.

lolz check out the images of the mod fullautopistols, total lolz for days

Also the mouse lag issue sometimes bugs weapons, mostly semi auto ones

what you do is holster the weapon then open the pip boy

un equip it an then re-equip, or turn the pip boy off an on

then re equip, refreshes the fire rate

You should move fellout in your load order to the very last

if you get MMM you can load the enhanced weather an MMM after fellout

or load enhanced then fellout then MMM

depends on which one you want to control the weather

follow the read me's

As far as I know these will conflict

Rivens_Eyescapes.esp

eyes_hairpack_en.esp

HairPack.esm

unless the read me told you how to make them not

anything that mods hair, eyes, race will conflict with

any other mod that does the same kind of thing

You could master update with FO3edit and it might fix this kind of thing

You should be using FOMM to launch FOSE

Also you should use a patch then use the FOSE that supports it

I'm pretty sure you could get away with using 1.5 as a patch

but 1.5 an 1.6 an 1.7 are kind of the same thing.

At any rate you should use FO3edit's master update

after you get a few more mods or right now just to avoid crashes

I guess that's a pretty good start.

How's cybernetic dawn work

is it scary, looks scary.

Oh yeah look into the mods

VATS-MCE

VATS at longer distance

Presise auto aim more controled version

don't use a no auto aim that disables auto aim

ruins some of the guns
