Well

hmmm

It's a nightmare, you kind of learn more by making a bunch of different installs where you started over

but it's best to at least get it working somewhat between the reinstall so you get some down an dirty game time

which is what this is all about.

Hey if you ask me playing fallout without any mods is super fun, but even without mods

that version 1.0 you have, from looking at your fallout.exe will still crash

yes version 1.0 the retail disc will crash without any mods at all

Do master restore, then master update again

Post your new load order in here.

Unofficial fallout patch is just a mod, it's not a patch at all, what it does is fix small bugs

but so many of the small things that it adds up to be a big deal

When you run a official patch 1.0.15 1.0.35 1.4 1.5 1.6 1.7

It changes the data, and also replaces the fallout.exe with a .exe that says

the version in properties

so if you ran a patch 1.5 the .exe will say 1.5 in the version

if it doesn't then the patch failed

FOSE is Great because of the things it does

Some configurations you also need the GECK version 1.5 (then even update the GECK with the GECK update)

The FOSE version must match which patch you use, since your fallout.exe is version 1.0

you would need the first version of FOSE to run it, but since version 1.0 is useless

and also any version before 1.5 for the matter

which leaves patches 1.5 1.6 and 1.7

with I think FOSE versions Beta 6-9 depending on which patch you used

I don't see why FOSE either would or would not work depending on which country you live in

I'm sure you could figure out a way to use it. Maybe even try different patches.

On the nexus site all the patches are aviailble in the official section, even the ones we don't use anymore

You need to get your .exe patched geeezz 1.0

that's not going to work at all

change your settings in games for windows live so you don't auto log in to games for windows live

then go to nexus an download the 1.5 patch in the official section

go to your firewall settings, add fallout.exe falloutlauncher.exe and games for windows live

have them checked when you patch then uncheck them afterwards to block access to the net for those programs

You could also just log into games for windows live, which would patch you to 1.7, which I think you would maybe want

because of the super cool DLC stuff you have, But then you might could get a different patch version 1.7

on the nexus site, you know for the different countrys, idk try UK or US english to get FOSE to work

I guess the seduce mods need FOSE, but I haven't looked

there could be some scripting in the mods you use

which would require FOSE

Post that new load order an I'll see if I can help with the read me's for those mods you're wanting to use

Any mothership zeta issues would be seperate from this thread, as I don't have or use DLC's

you should ask the people that know how to get that to work

Here is an issue i can't get rid of:

[00:04] Background Loader: Fatal: <Exception: "HairPack.esm" requires master "Fallout3.esm" to be loaded before it.>

[00:04] Background Loader: finished

[00:04] --= Error =--

[00:04] An error occured while loading your active modules.

[00:04] Please look at the log above to determine which of your modules caused that problem.

[00:04] The most likely reason for this is a module file that contains structural errors.

[00:04]

[00:04] !!! No changes have been made to any of your active modules.

[00:04] !!! You have to resolve the problem and run this program again.

[00:04]

[00:04] Loading and saving the problematic module in GECK can sometimes produce

[00:04] a working version. But it is recommended to contact the author of the module

[00:04] to get the original fixed.
