mechine
Awe... Noob don't worry we are all noobs here. I wouldn't go back to 1.0.35 if you paid me pfft I wouldn't even go back to 1.4 Use 1.5 1.6 1.7 found at nexus official section 1.5 you need to also use FO3edit's master update master update is optional on 1.6 an 1.7 However 1.6 an 1.7 are pretty much 1.5 So you should probably use master update on them it's a great program an there's no risk I know there is a work around hot fix to allow games for windows live to patch Also say if you wanted to use patch 1.5 not the current version which is 1.7 You would have to change your games for windows live so that you don't auto log in the last part of the patch launches fallout.exe which will launch Games for windows live then it will try to patch to 1.7 After that use FOMM to launch FOSE which turns games for windows live off among other great an totally awesome things that FOMM an FOSE do You can't roll back a patch, if you patched to 1.7 it won't go backwards to 1.6you have to reinstall I think, uninstall then install version 1.0 an patch that to 1.6 The hotfix for games for windows live to update to 1.7 via logging into games for windows liveOnly really works if you wanted 1.7, forgot where I found it. Also you either may or may not, need to have fallout3.exe Fallout3launcher.exe and games for windows live added in the exceptions to your windows firewall, have them checked, then update, then uncheck them to block their access to the net Everyone seems to install fallout to it's own folder outside of program files, like C:/bethesdasoftworks\fallout 3 rather than C:/programfiles/bethesdasoftpoop/fallout 3 Vista users have a few tweeks to run it, other than the normal stuff that XP users tweek. Even if I could think of something to say here I wouldn't I'm just too burned out from helping peoplez with fallout

JimboUK
Have you tried setting it to run on one core? I read a few people have had issues with multiple cores, might be worth a try.
